Clearly, I'm an incompetent ninny and can't figure out how to do a reverse image search to save my life ...

But, this guy is HOT and on Mintboys (which, I'm not really confident in what I'd get!). Can anyone help?

Reverse image searches aren't what they used to be. I don't know why, but Google basically got rid of it and replaced it with a dumb AI alternative that just gives you similar looking images

So I believe what happened is that Google realized reverse image searching would pull up results that may show PII (publicly identifiable information) and it may have turned into a liability for them. There are workarounds but I believe this is why

The way I do it on my phone-either download the picture -or or if you can't-take a screenshot. If there are extraneous things elements like icons or words, then I try to crop them out. Then upload the photo to a file sharing website or app like Dropbox. That will give you a link to the photo that you can use in a Chrome browser. Once the picture is pulled up in the browser-on the phone you can press on it and an option for search comes up. I believe on a computer-a pc-you can select it and right click on it for the search option to pop up.

On a computer on some websites you used to be able to right click on the image and the search option would pop up. It depends on the website and how the picture is embedded into the webpage .  But if you can't right click the image, then the first method I mentioned is the way to go.

It seems to work occasionally for me. But it's definitely not as helpful as it used to be. I was wondering if possibly it was due to my using the mobile browser vs the full browser on the computer.

You can also try using Yandex, the Russian search engine. In my experience, it’s better than Google for reverse image searches, mainly because it isn’t as restricted by privacy limitations.
