Ander Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I used to have two massage buddies, one of whom was semi-professional and had a table. We used to get together often to trade 4 handed massages on each other which would last several hours. We were all on the same page and grew to learn each others hot buttons for a pleasing the massage experience. They both moved to San Fransico and I have never found anyone to replace the hot times I had with them. I really enjoy bringing pleasure to men and I've begun to encourage my masseur’s to let me give them a back, butt and leg massage at the end of my time on the table. They seem happy to do so and give me good feedback about how nice my massages are. I guess I picked up techniques from my buddies that were correct and are appreciate. I know I'm not qualified to be a professional massage therapist on my own; nor do I have the stamina for what is exhausting work after 15 years of retirement. However, based on this feedback that I have been getting from my masseur's, I’ve been thinking that I could assist in giving a 4 hand massage with someone who is a professional [certified or not]. However, I don't know how to market myself or approach another therapist about working together on occasion. I enjoy receiving massages and this employment would help fund those activities. Can anyone give me advice as to how to step into the world of massage employment after 15 years of retirement in financial services. Many thanks to this very helpful community Andrew + Just Sayin and soloyo215 2
nate_sf Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Your massage buddies moved to SF you say? Do tell! 😛 In all seriousness, maybe you pitch the idea to one of the guys you get a massage from now. It doesn’t hurt to ask. And maybe get some training if you’re not confident in your skills, but it sounds like your buddies liked your skills just fine. soloyo215 1

Friends used to tell me I had a nice touch. If I had a larger apartment, I would have invested in a good table, not only for myself but for others. Maybe then I would have taken the thought more seriously. I don't know where you live, but NYC has MMX. Not only can you learn more from a place like that, you can meet and work with other like-minded men, and possibly find the needle in the haystack you're looking for. Maybe there is something similar in your area, or you can plan a learning visit here and explore further. If I had the energy, I would jump. + Just Sayin 1
Ander Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 A brief update, I included my interest in participating in 4 hand massage sessions and out of the blue I got a reponse from an unlikely character [in my opinion] who seems more interested in my being able to bring clients to his table with me - the one who has no clients! However, it has opened a slight wedge for me to have the opportunity to join him in a 4 hand massage. I have a terrible cold so I'm waiting for this too to pass before I begin lobbying for any massage time. Smokey and + Just Sayin 2
+ Just Sayin Posted February 14 Posted February 14 you might set up a profile on massageexchange.com and state what your interests are; I have a table and have met a couple of guys through that; I enjoy both giving and receiving massages, so it's connected me with guys with similar interests. soloyo215 1
