Lately I’ve noticed, I think only when an ad is linked here, some text over review stars, always red and the same delineation of letters and numbers? Seems to be a repetitive string of ‘ebf3’. Anybody? I redacted the reviewer pseudonym in appended screenshot example.

It is for the USA. If you VPN in from Brazil you can see the stars and reviews.

Still doesn’t add up because very explicit text commentaries following the tampered star line are still there. Is it possibly an attempt by a censorship algorithm that falls short of redacting the review text component? Also, I am not ever in the USA myself.

Are you suggesting it is occurring for ads in which the provider is located in USA? When I look up USA ads here in Canada the stars are not redacted with the stated red text I described but the example I provided was an ad that had been linked here. Yet when I clear my browser and start fresh looking up that ad through my premium membership the redact text over the stars is still there for that guy.🤷‍♂️

Maybe the censoring overlay is an algorithm that is triggered for an ad only if the ad had been subject to a linking, and then the redact text is permanent?

Not a big deal, just curious.

Ahah! Oh my stars!

I just looked at an ad of a well known Barcelona guy and the stars were not tampered. Then linked him here and the stars redact immediately shows though review text remains. So it could be a artefact of an ad having been linked to any outside source or specifically to this board. Likely the latter because I went back on RMen and it was back to unaltered.

I had noticed it too, a few days ago, and it appeared to be that way on ads both in the US and elsewhere. Happened on both lap top and mobile in Rent.men. But it's now reverted to normal. Who knows?
