Ali Gator Posted August 10, 2024 Author Posted August 10, 2024 For the record, I think Bette Midler would make a great Miss Hannigan in the role. They should have made her an offer (instead of Whoopi) for the month of December in Manhattan - she would draw in the crowds of tourists. She needs to return to B'way at least one more time.

For the record, I think Alyson Hannigan would make a great Bette Midler in the role, though not such a great Whoopi Goldberg. + sync 1
+ WilliamM Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Isn't . Bette scheduled to do a play with Mia Farrow?

I thought it was Patti Lupone doing the play with her this fall. It's supposed to be a comedy about two older women who are room-mates, but realize they have nothing in common and dislike each other (or something along those lines). Unless I'm mixing this project and stars up with someone else ?
+ WilliamM Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 The Roommate is scheduled to close in the middle of December. Would Patti be willing to go into a musical so quickly

Would Patti be willing to go into a musical so quickly I thought when she finished 'Company' she swore off musicals going forward - too much work and little appreciation from the audience, who spend their time on their cell phones instead of watching the show.
