Ellen DeGeneres abruptly cancels shows on her comedy tour

Ellen DeGeneres is taking her act off the road, at least for some days and venues.

The former host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show has cancelled several performances of her latest stand-up tour, Ellen's Last Stand... Up, in Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, and Chicago, this month and next, according to the Ticketmaster website.

No reason for the cancellations was given, but a message from the company said, "Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event." Refunds would be issued in 14 to 21 days, ticket holders were told.

DeGeneres embarked on her tour, her first since allegations of a toxic workplace on her show emerged, in June and has already performed in some locations. In both Los Angeles and Santa Rosa, Calif., she reportedly made jokes about the situation, as she had teased that she would.

I wish she would own up to her horrible behavior, apologize, and take steps to be better. She doesn’t think she’s done anything wrong, like she’s the victim. She’s so out of touch.

Agreed.  Her reputation never recovered when staff on her show were intimidated and forced to work in hostile workplace.  Racial issues and other disturbing things going on. She luckily made a boatload of cash in her day but her career is now done.  The positive image has been shattered.

Indeed.  Even a beer festival in Atlantic City had to cancel because of poor ticket sales.

Ellen stopped being funny 25 years ago after her Ellen sitcom was cancelled and she became overtly political. 

Ellen still does not have it figured out (I "had a Hard Time"). Those are her words about the people whose lives were made miserable by her. Ellen has become an arrogant, self absorbed POS that knows nothing about being a decent human being. Just another Hollyweird elitist. Oh life was so hard on me... Really, Ellen? Well, YOU made it hard.  You are not the victim. Your staff was. YOU created a toxic work culture. YOU mistreated your staff members who took medical leave and bereavement days, among other things. 
Go join Kathy Griffin and Alec Baldwin, and the rest of the woke professional Hollywood elitist crybabies.

IMO, Ellen looks at other people's sh!t as theirs.  Not hers.  Just like when she used to joke being upset about the gay community putting her on a pedestal.  She didn't want that.

So, one might not be surprised her not keeping her seniors in line.   Not her problems.  Too bad she didn't get it.

Hollywood is full of greedy executives.  That trickled down when the show stopped production for COVID.  Other shows treated their staff more generously then Ellen.

I'm not surprised how the toxic complaints surfaced after the show shut down for COVID.

Where I work, toxic behavior, and other misconduct is grounds for immediate dismissal.  I guess we know by now that Hollywood has catching up to do.
