People ask about the Alte Lampe periodically. While it's not a place i feel comfortable meeting guys in, i did get a Facebook story they are changing their hours (1 day?). Not even sure what the hours change means. If you go i highly advise taking an Uber to the door and having an Uber pick you up at the door while you wait for it inside. The block and entrance can be dark and the guys are aggressive like Pinnochio in Berlin. I went twice last year (July 2023) when they first opened.  The place was empty.  Never met any guys.  Hopefully it will be as packed as these pictures the next time I visit Vienna.

yes. the last time i was there was August a year ago and it was packed like the pics show. but the crowd is very Tabasco Berlin like rough and pushy.

I spent this evening at Cafe Alte Lampe.

There were about a dozen boys for hire and about 5 customers.  All of the boys were from Bulgaria.  Some spoke German, but most only spoke Bulgarian.  I only speak English and a little Spanish, so most of the night was spent using translation apps on our phones.  From what I discovered, most of these boys cannot even read their native language, but must use the microphone app to speak and listen to the translation.  Very sad indeed.

I was quoted 150 Euros to suck off a guy in the bathroom.  I found that high, given that I paid that same amount for guys from Hunqz or Boys&Men to come to my room for an hour.

On the positive side: I accidentally left my phone on the bench when I did leave to play with one of the guys.   When I came back, my phone was still there and another boy had been watching it for me.  I gave him a tip for not stealing it.
