samhexum Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 I did not have high hopes for this show. I had enjoyed Elsbeth on the good wife, but thought the character was too quirky to be the centerpiece of a show without becoming too annoying. She still might, but the writing this year was delightful, if simplistic, and the show was lighthearted and fun throughout, with enough humor to make me hope it lasts awhile if it continues to be this enjoyable. + DERRIK Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 An interesting show. Reminds me of Monk I'll watch anything with Wendell Pierce in it - he a first class actor. samhexum and thomas 2
+ purplekow Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Really is a distaff Columbo. Wish they had renewed So Help Me Todd instead. STill it is light hearted entertainment samhexum 1

+ BenjaminNicholas Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Enjoy the spinoff, enjoy her performance. Always good to see a healthy cavalcade of theatre people on television. jeezifonly and thomas 1 1

The only problem is that her wardrobe is getting worse with every episode and hurting my eyes! 😆 samhexum 1
MikeThomas Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 The voice of dissent… I enjoyed her annoying personality in small doses on the Good Fight, but these large doses is just to much, at least for me. samhexum 1
Ali Gator Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 I really enjoy the show. It was a good pairing with "SO HELP ME TODD". CBS made the wrong move by axing TODD.
samhexum Posted October 20, 2024 Author Posted October 20, 2024 Solid first episode that even managed to have a Nathan Lane TV appearance that wasn't off putting.
samhexum Posted October 21, 2024 Author Posted October 21, 2024 Michael Emerson will recur as a judge in a couple of episodes starting in December.
Ali Gator Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Season 2 kicked off with a solid episode. The writing and acting seemed tighter and more focused than the first handful of episodes in Season 1.
samhexum Posted November 1, 2024 Author Posted November 1, 2024 I noticed that Robin Givens directed tonight's episode.
Ali Gator Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Unfortunately, the show is not doing that well in the ratings from what's being reported. It's losing quite a bit of viewers who were previously tuned in to 'Matlock' - which has been a solid hit this season (and renewed for a second season already, after the second episode aired). samhexum 1

Maybe Elsbeth & co. should encounter a demonic situation that calls for a hot priest and his wacky team of experts to assist.
samhexum Posted November 8, 2024 Author Posted November 8, 2024 CLAWS reunion tonight as Jenn Lyon guest starred.

It's the #7 show of the season so far, ahead of GHOSTS & the three Chicago shows.
samhexum Posted December 16, 2024 Author Posted December 16, 2024 Watching Mr. and Mrs. Emerson (Mr. and Mrs. Preston?) go toe to toe this week was fun.
samhexum Posted February 17 Author Posted February 17 Caught up on the three latest episodes today. Still delightful.
