I did not have high hopes for this show. I had enjoyed Elsbeth on the good wife, but thought the character was too quirky to be the centerpiece of a show without becoming too annoying.

She still might, but the writing this year was delightful, if simplistic, and the show was lighthearted and fun throughout, with enough humor to make me hope it lasts awhile if it continues to be this enjoyable.

An interesting show.  Reminds me of Monk

I'll watch anything with Wendell Pierce in it - he a first class actor.

Really is a distaff Columbo.  Wish they had renewed So Help Me Todd instead.  STill it is light hearted entertainment

The only problem is that her wardrobe is getting worse with every episode and hurting my eyes! 😆

The voice of dissent… I enjoyed her annoying personality in small doses on the Good Fight, but these large doses is just to much, at least for me.

I really enjoy the show. It was a good pairing with "SO HELP ME TODD". CBS made the wrong move by axing TODD.

Solid first episode that even managed to have a Nathan Lane TV appearance that wasn't off putting.

Michael Emerson will recur as a judge in a couple of episodes starting in December.

Season 2 kicked off with a solid episode. The writing and acting seemed tighter and more focused than the first handful of episodes in Season 1.

I noticed that Robin Givens directed tonight's episode.

Unfortunately, the show is not doing that well in the ratings from what's being reported. It's losing quite a bit of viewers who were previously tuned in to 'Matlock' - which has been a solid hit this season (and renewed for a second season already, after the second episode aired).

Maybe Elsbeth & co. should encounter a demonic situation that calls for a hot priest and his wacky team of experts to assist.

It's the #7 show of the season so far,  ahead of GHOSTS & the three Chicago shows.

Watching Mr. and Mrs. Emerson (Mr. and Mrs. Preston?) go toe to toe this week was fun.
