Jay_lucas Posted Tuesday at 10:25 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:25 AM I would love to give my input on this topic. I have been stiffed many many times, which is why I sometimes ask for a deposit if it’s longer hours. The first time I’ve been stiffed was when I was talking to a client that lived in Texas in 2021, and he flew me out for a three night overnight trip. Something like that you should ask for money upfront, but I think because I trusted him I didn’t ask for it after my weekend and my time with him I never asked for any of the money upfront and I thought he was just gonna automatically pay me and he never ended up paying me after i left. The man owes me a lot of money. The second time I’ve been scammed I had an overnight with a client and he didn’t give me the full amount as he said he had to leave early in the morning while I was still sleeping. this man also stole my Apple Watch as well.. I noticed both of these issues when I woke up because my Apple Watch was gone and I counted the money and it wasn’t all there. when I meet with a client in person, I always ask for them to put the money on the table count it just so I know I’m not gonna get scanned. as I mentioned to a lot of clients and future clients, it’s not just my time it’s our time and our time is important. it’s unfortunate that Not only do a lot of clients go out of their way. Just a flake on people, but also go out other way to harm providers and screw them over.. that’s unfortunate. It has happened to me and many others.. Rentmen.com/jaylucas SweatnMusk 1
