RM, no way dude. Your Taxi driver does the same amount of physical labor if there are one or two riders. As does the dancer if the room is empty or full. So they both get paid the same.

 

Two or more clients means more (maybe not double, but more) physcial labor, and double the expectations, for the escort. For that reason, some escorts ask for more mooolah.

First, I never get mad; however, in your parenthetical regarding me, if you eliminate the negative as well as the preposition at the end, it reads much better to me.

 

Second, Shamus would be the only escort in NYC that I've heard that doubles his fee for a couple. Granted, I've probably only asked 25 or 30 escorts over the last 3 years (remember, this only includes Manhattan). The list of escorts with their prices for couples is, of course, available upon request. My only caveat is that agencies always double the fee, which is why we generally don't use them for two.

 

BTW Sean, Tom Chase slept with my BF and me for nothing (as did Michel Lucas - what's this with porn stars?); but then again, I've known Tommy since the day Fulton first blew his steam.

While union entertainers may get the same amount no matter the size of the audience, the same cannot be said of many nonunion performers. Many actors, and I assume dancers as well, are paid a percentage of the door after expenses. And the theater company as a whole is of course paid more if the audience is larger, if you include the producer and most escorts are their own producers (with the exception of guys that work for agencies).

One, I think that escort unions are a wonderful idea and can accomplish many things other than price guidelines. Such as why many newspapers get away with charging double for an escort's ad than the same size classifieds from someone else. Etc.

Two, Have we lost track of the idea that one thing that you are paying an escort for is the amount of damage you do to his safety firewall. True, when I was arrested, there was only one policeman inside the room with a taperecorder, however, failing that, wouldn't the police love to be able to have two witnesses to whatever rather than just one? I know that for years I thought that they would and charged half again as much as a discretionary measure. And, of course, two people are a larger health risk than one in a profession which has to protect itself from all kinds of STDs.

BTW, I finished my community service hours today! (Large feeling of relief and freedom, large enough to admit to myself and others that I actually rather enjoyed most of those hours.)
