ICTJOCK Posted August 8, 2023 Share Posted August 8, 2023 A friend of mine who used to escort himself asked me a question. He wanted to know if sex work was "addictive" either physically or mentally? Interesting question, I do think that an active escort had a physical adjustment to sex work the same way ones body adjusts to exercise. Not sure I would ever describe it as "addictive", but I do think it might be for some. Escort work does require a certain mental focus for sure. Either because the monetary rewards can be good (although unreliable), or because one becomes accustomed to having clients validate you. It’s like being an actor who craves the audience applause.
