It is not unusual to see a photo of the subject sticking out their tongue.  I tend to react negatively to these photos but wonder if  this symbolize  something in particular.

They are probably just goofing around.

Whether a party pic or a selfie it’s a default photo face for some people. Doesn’t really make anyone, male or female, look more interesting or attractive, but if off-putting is the vibe one wants to project, it’s a good choice.
