First of all, I'm not asking for anyone to break confidences here - no names required!

 

Several escorts I've been with have hinted (or come right out and said) that they've had a fair share of famous clients. One reported that he was real busy when the republican national convention was in town, another talked about a TV newscaster "who would surpise me", etc.

 

So, I'm curious. Do you really see famous people as clients on a regular basis? How is the session set up? Do you know who they are beforehand or do they just show up at the door? Did you recognize them right away?

I once engaged an American escort (several times) who, after a few drinks, told me tales of his days in Washington, DC and named names of Senators, members of the House of Representatives, Governors and senior officials all of whom are gay and known in the world of escorts. A 'scort I saw said some famous clients wore masks to disguise their identities. Can you imagine Tom Cruise, say, with a mask and thinking no one would recognize his chest, which has been exposed in probably every film he ever made? He also went through a litany of men widely known to be gay whom he'd seen -- no suprises there. He also said he'd just spent ten days in Paris with a movie star younger than he was who was bisexuaul. The 'scort had to sign a non-disclosure clause before he embarked. I'd seen this 'scort several times, he'd told me his real name and we had nice,friendly rapport. I think his stories were credible.

I think the question "Do you have famous clients?" comes pretty often, just after "How did you start escorting?". If someone ask me if I have famous personalities as clients I say "No, I don't" and that solves the problem.

Isn't it obvious from well publicized stories like Eddy Murphy and his tranny, and Hugh Grant and his ten-cent hooker (while dating Elizabeth Hurley at her prime), that sometimes the 'rich and famous' hire right off the streets? The notion that the most elite escorts get the most elite clients was sort of dispelled by those stories, and I have no doubt it's similar with the 'gay mafia' of fashion, entertainment, or whatever. Not all the time, but a lot of the time. Recently with Boy George it as mentioned he was shopping on "gaydar".

 

I read either Dolce or Gobanna of "Dolce and Gobanna" was in South Beach a couple months ago and would go to clubs and just point at certain guys and someone on his staff would go over and do a quick "pre-screen" with the guy. Oh, to be Dolce or Gobanna!

You don't have to be an escort to have these stories. And I'll bet they're they same stories I've heard from people who had friends with some connection to Capitol Hill.

Having been a "youthful" sort some 20-25 years ago in the DC area and doing travel between NYC, Boston, and P-Town - I can attest to the "names" that one could come across. But the "rule" in those days was not to kiss and tell. I am just left with some found memories.

According to a biography, rentboys visited Tony Perkins backstage while he was in EQUUS. Perkins also hung out at a trade bar and engaged young blond surfer guys elsewhere. That's very true. I have lived here for nearly 18 years and have heard many stories, most of which I give little credence.

 

One of my favorites was in 1993 when a certain Democratic Senator from Georgia was head of Armed Services leading the charge about gays in the military. I heard several people claim to have been his lover, or that he hired male escorts, or was into BDSM. This was mostly to discredit the gentleman since ultimately his efforts led to passage of Don't Ask Don't Tell.

 

No doubt more than a few political types may hire guys and gals but more likley they have some lobbyist handle that for them. Plus with how disconnected people are from politics these days I doubt some escort would know various minor members of congress by sight any way. That is unless the client told the escort he was an MOC or deputy undersecretary of such and such. Politicos can be dumb but not that dumb.

 

Intersting to note the DC Madam case has not really brought out any big fish and according to ABC News, there are no really important people or MOC's listed in those records.
