Escort Gift Certificate???

I have got a situation with a friend of mine who's been really stressed out with work lately and in an e-mail exchange I casually mentioned hiring a rentboy for him.

 

Well he joked and kidded back but then placed an "order" for what he wanted. Well built Latin guy, hung, top, orally versatile. No attitude 30+. I asked if he was serious about such and he confirmed that he could be under the right circumstances. This led to a whole exchange about "escort gift certificates" and the like.

 

So, here are my questions. What's the best way to set up such an encounter? Do I let him pick the guy out and just give him the money to pay? (Knowing him as well as I do, he would go out and buy some stupid stick of furniture and then bitch that he needs to get laid.) Do I set something up, send the guy to his place (prearranged of course) then pay the escort later when the session is over?

 

Any of you escorts have situations like this before, good idea or not?

Love the concept but it definitely touches on one of the biggest fears of CLIENTS in these boards lately which is payment in advance. This is OBVIOUSLY something that would come into question with situations like these.

 

From an escort's point of view it sounds just like any other experience being hired for an hour. Doesn't matter who pays as long as someone pays. The catch for me would be that unless it was a regular of mine (and even then it would be iffy these days)I would expect payment in advance.

 

From a client's point of view, do you trust someone to show up after you've paid them if you've never met them before? Would these escort certificates only really work out with well reviewed escorts?

 

Hell, Arlington, have we stumbled on the best new Cyber-Agency system? Selling appointments like spa packages. Escorts register with a website that they trust to pay them. Client pays the agency for an appointment and the escort gets paid by the agency once he performs?

 

I think it all just comes down to whether or not clients are willing to pay in advance and if escorts are willing to take an IOU.

HB used to treat several of his friends and employees to 'escort gift certificates' now & then. It was his way of saying 'thanks' to those who did so much work for him on a constant basis. I thought it was an interesting practice, and as Scott mentioned, it could possibly be a GREAT marketing tool for independent escorts or escort websites to use in the near future.

 

I remember kicking around the idea of an 'Escort Ebay' years ago with HB, but when we took it to a legal team to pick apart, it looked as if the pandering aspect of it might be too tough to sidestep. This idea of 'escort giftcarding' seems to circumvent some of those issues. Very interesting.

a couple of comments:

i have given an escort session twice to friends as a birthday gift (remembering well the cowboy of "boys in the band"). the escort was one i knew well and i paid him after the session. because i was a regular, he knew he would get paid no problem.

 

second, there was an escort about a decade ago in atlanta that use to have an auction section on his website; he would do an overnight with the highest bidder; he ran it sort of like ebay with a closing time and all.

 

an escort session is a great gift if you know the escort well enough to know he is the type the person would like.
