THE MENU - HBOMax

The Menu, in theatres and HBO.

Loved it! A satirical and weird take on the relationships between chefs, their art, their staff, their devotees, their critics, and the high stress and big money that flow through the culture of haute cuisine. Subtle laughs throughout, some good improvised moments.
Great performances all around. Although one performance from an actor I’ve not seen before stood out above the rest.

Only one weak spot in production with some brief green screen issues. The food styling is gorgeous!
(And it’s not horror, more of a suspenseful dramedy with some violence) And it has a satisfying finish!

Bon appetit!

I enjoyed the movie quite a lot.  Though was wondering what happened to Nicholas Hoult’s character after his kitchen scene, I don’t remember seeing him in the dining room afterwards.

It’s easy to miss….but the answer is in the show.
