Is escorting ever scary?

I would like to think the majority of clients that escorts see are nice guys but I'm sure there are some rotten apples in the barrel. Showing up for an appointment with a stranger in a hotel, their home or inviting them into yours would make most people a little nervous I think. So...does it ever get scary? ...or if not, why?

 

Any interesting stories to tell about how you dealt with a strange situation?

Zippy well written. Walking in to see a new client with no fear is like walking around with blinders on. For myself I have yet to come across any trouble (knock on wood). But seeing someone repeadely there is a certain amount of trust established or if it is someone here from the mc. I often still get little butterflies in my tummy when I am meeting someone new. One I don't know them except for a few emails back and forth or a brief talk on the phone, two I don't know if they are going to flip out after a few minutes of me being there and try to beat me into a bloody pulp or if they are going to be hygenicaly (god I can't spell) clean. Even now after being in the biz for a few years I let someone I trust know where I am going, what time I will be arriving and what time I will be done. If things run over I make sure to give the safety person a call and let them know so they don't worry and start looking for me.

A friend of mine escorted for a while and whenever he went on a call he would let me know all the details. While I cannot protect him from the comfort of my place at least if something happened to him I would have the info needed for police.

 

Thankfully he was never harmed but did meet some very strange people many of the clients were less than upfront with him about their physical condition or interests.

 

He quit the biz, in part, becasue of all the freaks. It just creeped him out.

IMHO.."Outcalls" to Clients Home..you do now know where he lives, has to be less of a Decision..Than an "Incall" with a Stranger in a Hotel Room.. Doesn't matter if you know where the client lives if he ties the escort up and kills him in his house. I would say that meeting a client in his place is the scariest environment of all for an escort. Who knows where the guy has hidden the ice pick.

 

Meeting in a hotel room is the safest. You have to use a major credit card to check in, so there is evidence of your real name at the front desk. Plus, unless it is the Bates Motel, there should be other guests around just in case something goes wrong. If the escort yells loud enough, someone is bound to hear him.

 

Meeting at the escort's place is probably somewhere between these two extremes. Sure, the client then know's where the escort lives, but unless he is a stalker, that shouldn't be an issue. If the escort is afraid for his safety at his own place, he certainly knows the environment very well and should have the upper hand if things become a bit dicey. The client can't very well bring any large weapons into the place and who knows if the escort is packing more heat than just his man meat....

JT---I agree. Somehow the lure of $$$ hidden under the client outweighs the threat that their might be an ice pick, too. Money has that effect on some that would supercede any inherent danger.

I know a guy who was drugged and raped while unconscious. (And since he was out of it, he has no idea whether they were safe but odds are they weren't.) He's a top, so the soreness was MOST uncustomary.

 

I know another guy who was robbed at gunpoint in his own apartment and THEN raped at gunpoint.

 

I know another guy who was at a client's house when four guys came into the room and pinned him down for a gang rape. He escaped between #2 and #3.

 

Another guy I know tested positive for Syphilis and when he alerted the only client he'd seen recently heard "Sorry. You were too cute to pass up."

I would think it could be scary on both ends, but at least we have this review board to gather somthing on the escort but them having nothing on the client I would think could be little scary

I would say there is always a slight amount of nervousness upon meeting a new client. But have never had any real fears. But I take certain safeguards. I have a "safe person" that always knows where I am going. If I don't return they have the address and phone number to give to the police. I never accept anything to eat or drink from a new client (unless we are at a restaurant or it is an unopened can/bottle). And I always remain extremely alert to what is going on around me. True, if someone is a psychopath and wants to harm you there's certain things that can't be prevented. But that can happen with a regular hookup, meeting a new friend for the first time, or in any number of ways.

I feel a small bit of reassurance to carry mace with me. And I usually will politely shrug off a drink if I did not see him pour it from the bottle, and drink from the same. Canned drinks are obviously okay.

 

There's always that ubiquitous nagging concern that I'm going to get to a job, and the client turns out to be either a cop on duty, or a jock who has problems with being gay/bi, so wants to take out his frustrations on a gay escort.
