Has anyone got any contact information for anyone at guys4rent.com? No, I'm not plugging the competition. I happen to be listed there, but they have outdated information. I have no idea what my login information might be, so I can't change it myself. I've attempted to email webmaster@guys4rent.com several times, but each email has been ignored. My last email demanded that they change the info or remove me, but neither has been done. If anyone has any contact information, I'd really appreciate it.

I have emailed at least 4 different escorts on the site at least twice each and have heard nothing. I have also seen they have not updated their escort of the week section for at least a month now. And some of the adds in there are bogus. If anything changes let us know.....Thanks

One of my favorite long standing regular clients in Laguna Beach found me on Guys 4 Rent, but that was in 2001. I know he hires when he travels so I just wrote him a note, but generally some of these sites have a lot of dead wood and clearly they do not update them. I got a few clients from them and my e-mail address is still the same one, but I have never heard from a client from this site since at least late 2002.

 

But someone must still be involved as a web master or is paying for the registration for the web site name, or else the address would simply disappear. As for clients contacting escorts, generally it is good to try sites which are more frequently up to date and accurate or, as many do, go by this site. http://www.studfiles.com, rentboy.com, men4rentnow all seems to be at least updated with regularity. Some other escorts may now of others and so may other clients.

 

A list of such updated sites at some point would probably be of great use to you clients.

Guys4Rent is crap when it comes to escort listing sites out there. Bad design and rarely updated. I'd stick to other sites, with this site always being the PREMIER place to be.

I have tried twice to reach fellas advertising on men4rent,both of them pretty well known guys-no response.On follow up phone calls I learned their messages were never forwarded.

I personally find digging through thier ads tiresome-as they list guys willing to travel to a city as being located in that city.

Ben I have to agree this is by far the best site out there. I had troubles with that "other" site in the past and just threw my hands up and gave up.

Following Up

 

I followed TY's advice & contacted Austin. He was nice enough to help me recover my login information. I logged in to the site & attempted to change the errant information myself. Unfortunately, even though I received an "Update Successful" message, the corrected information has never actually updated.

Bottom line: the site is worthless & the operators are pathetic.

 

Thanks, TY & Austin. I'm better off trying to have myself removed from the site--or just forgetting about the whole thing. Unfortunately, it reflects poorly on me if someone tries to contact me, but I never get back to him.

It may seem like a worthless exercise for you but you're actually doing a huge service to the community and to your potential client base by surfacing these issues here.

 

Personally, I know that site is crap. I can go to ANY city I 'know' and find listings that I'm absolutely certain should have been removed several years ago, or that are just plain bogus.

 

But to have you say that you've tried valiantly to update your listing and the site just won't do it tells everyone reading this a lot.

The strange thing about it is that I'm able to log in & I actually get a confirmation that my updates are successful. THe listing never changes, though. I tried flushing my cache just to be sure I'm getting a fresh page. No change. If I weren't typing at the moment, I'd throw my hands in the air.

Oh, it's not strange at all.

 

It tells me their site updates are ENTIRELY tied to a guy sitting at a computer responding to e-mails. The site may SAY the updates were successful, but all they did was launch an email and the changes will only be successful when that guy sits down and makes the changes you sent. If the guy goes to SOBE or Palm Springs or anywhere else for a week and doesn't check in, the changes won't happen.

 

If he walks away for a couple of months, well, the site will still say your changes were successful while nothing changes but somebody is gonna have a damn full inbox when they finally bother to notice.

 

It's absolutely the worst way to run a website like that, and says a lot about the site.

Guys4Rent is based off a CGI or Perl script that makes the site easy to controle...so when you submit a change it waits for the aproval of one man....;( ;( ;(
