I just started watching this. 

Always love Nanjiani, Ashford and Bartlett, hoping it’s good. 

Not bowled over by production values Ep 1 but those often improve after the pilot. 

Should I persevere or bail now?

Well you have invested in one episode so if you stop now you may miss out on some entertaining schmaltz with naked men.  I would keep going until it is clear that the show sucks, and not in a good way.

Production values improving, performances overall good, especially Nanjiani. Fatal tension is mounting.
