Do I stink?

This morning there is a negative review of a Phoenix escort whose web-page makes him look ideal: good-looking, hot, and intelligent. But the reviewer describes a disappointing time. Very disappointing.

In his response the escort fills in those blanks that re-reading the review shows up. Bluntly put, the escort had a hard time getting it up and staying up because the client stank. And apparently he stank from more than one part of his anatomy.

To make matters worse, the escort says that several times he tried to coax the client into the shower, but succeeded only at the end. In this case I believe the escort, partly because his version is so plausible and partly because it's so matter-of-fact and well-written.

The message I'm going to take away is this: Assume that you stink and spare no amount of effort to make sure you don't, starting with the teeth and working down through the pits and navel to the crotch, where all sorts of unpleasant pheromones compete with the hot ones.

Of course, there are those who prefer their cheese overripe. But I don't think a client should suppose that of an escort. If the client wants to stink, he should ask the escort if he prefers Limburger to Swiss. I'll bet he doesn't.

How do escorts manage this problem? To me, it seems really rude on the client's part, but maybe I'm missing something.

Will, that's a good point.

Of course if an escort is trying to get you into the shower. Let him! I wonder about anybody that clueless that wouldn't take a perfectly reasonable hot suggestion. Even if you STILL didn't take it as hint.

The escort's idea seems good to me but I'll bet the men here will have others.

I was born without the "stink" enzyme...I could wear the same sweaty clothes to the gym all week & they'd still smell like Dynamo (which is why Derek will sometimes pick up my dirty clothes when I've stripped them off in a hurry and ask, "Why are you throwing clean clothes on the floor?") so I never have to worry about smelling bad, but I shower right before every job anyway. I don't know why some clients don't do the same. Maybe it isn't rudeness, Will; maybe they just don't know they're so malodorous. My problem, however, is that I cannot bring myself to tell someone that they smell. I just can't do it. I'm afraid of hurting their feelings, or killing the mood (even though the stink is making me work really hard to perform well). I know it's been discussed here that we should slyly say something like "Let's take a shower together" but I tried that & it didn't work (they just wanted to get right to it on the bed or they weren't into shower scenes). Fortunately, what I'm describing is a rare case for me; most of my clients are clean & conscientious. But on those cases when the guy stinks, I'm a total chicken about confronting it. Odd for such a cocky New Yorker, huh? :p

By the way, to answer the question posed in your title: you always smell nice, Will. :*

Having bumped into a freshly-showered and nicely dressed Rick Munroe on his way to see a client, I would add that he looks especially good when he has that "squeaky-clean" look. I could have humped him in the elevator!

Speaking here as a client - OF COURSE the escort should say (preferably politely) that you stink.

I think it is totally unreasonable for a client to expect an escort to deal with someone who is not reasonably clean. Equally, I expect an escort to be clean, and in my experience they usually are.

The usual rule in agencies in Australia is that you take a shower at the start of the session, and "no" is not an acceptable answer as far as I know. Even if you've had a shower before you went out, you still have another one.

For outcalls it's less easy, I agree. But when I hire an escort, I always make sure I'm clean before he arrives. I thought this was a minimum reasonable requirement.
