Chris responded in the other thread on "names we use" regarding the possibility of another question that comes to mind to him...how often do we meet, how do we meet, etc?

 

That's a good question actually.....for me....I have met most on line, and eventually a phone conversation. The ones I have met in person are far and few between...Matt in Vancouver, the local St. Louis ones who are on this site...well, only the 2 other good ones...not the wacked out psycho that has been red flagged....Geno in Philly...ones I want to meet.....well, actually, too many to name, and I don't want to leave anyone out.....

 

why do I like to meet...well sometimes, I'm just like every other guy...horny as hell...but most of the time...I just like getting to know other escorts.....before I started making the effort to meet them, which was maybe less than a year ago I wanted to, I was feeling very alone in all this, now I'm made some friends, and/or met some guys that I can at least chat with about a part of my life that I can't or won't share with anyone else.....well, ok, the thought of actually going out on a date or two with a couple of these guys has occurred to me...but they all have BFs...hehehehe yep, that's how my luck runs!

It's like any other "independent contractor" profession. It's natural to miss hanging around with your peers, which comes with almost any other job. That's why conventions are so popular. :-)

 

In fact, that's how message boards like this started. Sure, today we have board for knitting, cat lovers, and escorts. But it all started as isolated programmers looking for a way to connect to other programmers when it was midnight, you had an 8am deadline, and nothing was freaking working.

 

So be friendly the next time you meet a nerd. This place wouldn't exist without 'em. (And I am a nerd before someone starts slinging arrows at me for stereotying.)

 

The parties I've been at with pornstars/escorts have been a blast because they can relax, let their hair down, and be themselves. They don't have a client to impress. Everyone genuinely seems to enjoy themselves.

In my "inner circle", 2 are currently working as escorts, 3 are "retired" from escorting and another is a porn star(but not an escort). And there's another escort whom I hire and with whom I see other clients occasionally. My friend Jason Markus and I see clients together one week a month when he's in from NYC. It's a unique experience working with your best friend in a sexual situation, but we seem to handle it very well. We can be having a conversation prior to a client arriving, fuck/suck like crazy and then after the client leaves we can go right back into that conversation. It seems quite natural to us. ;-)

I've tried to hang with other escorts but they usually grate on my nerves. Dealing with a queen blasted on crystal meth. or jocking one another on who makes the most money definitely isn't what I'm about. I love my down time & I'd love to meet rational, coherent escorts who can chill out & carry on a conversation. It hasn't happened yet. Some of my best friends have been porn stars....

 

In San Francisco, it seemed everyone I knew was an art fag and did something else to pay the bills and working for adult film studios ranging from KINK to FALCON or playing GO-GO boy or doing escort work was not only more profitable but had better hours than waking up at 5 a.m. to brew coffee at the local neighborhood cafe. One came over and fixed my toilet and another I bailed out of jail. As with any other industry, sure there are bad apples. There are some escorts I have only spoken to on line and I am not certain that a personal meeting would be good, but some are very lovely people and I am glad to know them. In these instances, I can only hope the clients have as high an opinion and as nice and pleasant a time in their presence as has been my own experience.
