guidance about abroad, please

Hi All,

My apologies if I'm posting this query in the wrong forum; if so, please direct me elsewhere.

Preliminary comment: I've been out of touch for almost two years. I have a bad memory, and I lost a lot of my internet favorites.

I used to use this and other forums quite a lot when I travelled the world. This website was very useful regarding the US and a bit less regarding Europe. I remember that for Latin America and SE Asia I used other websites, including "the other" website that I gathered was like a competitor of this one. [Now also, geographic forums in this website offer very little, and at least one seems to have lost all posts since 2003.) Now I can't find any of them.

Please refresh my memory, and remind me the names/addresses of those and other useful sources.

@12is12 “the other” website you mention is now retitled as www.gayguides.com 

You may need to re-register to gain full access but it has lots of useful info on Latin America (especially Brazil and Mexico) and Europe (especially Spain and Prague/BelAmi). I would say there’s less current info on SE Asia.

For Europe, Hunqz is useful, and I think Romeo has an escort section but am not sure.  There's at least one other European centered site but the name is escaping me.

Hunqz is the most useful. Hornet is a social app that I‘ve also had great success with in the EU.

There is also bluesystem for Russia and some of the former soviet block countries… but one would need to translate and setting up is a bore (but, if you go down that route, having a  Whatsapp or Telegramm chat account would be helpful to talk to those providers).
