The NY Times today carries the obituary for Budge Patty, a 1950's tennis champion, who has died at the age of 97.

"Known for his style as much as his forehand volley, he was one of only three Americans to win the French and Wimbledon men’s singles in the same year....Patty was almost invariably described as handsome, elegant and a fashionable dresser. "

I will admit that I was drawn to the article because of his early pictures:
