I will be at home in the California desert today, thus cannot report on any trips. I did go to a Mexican border town on Monday for dental work. Amazing how much cheaper it is than US dentists. And, yes, we had a good dentist.

Well, I'm not sure I can say I'm not traveling today because I’m heading down to the lobby soon to check for my mail. If anyone one this board is interested, I’ll report back on the people I run into. :p

Let us know what percentage of junk mail you receive? Can I assume that bills outweigh personal correspondence? And what about Christmas cards...do you feel compelled to send one to the persons who send you one?

I braved the chilly weather this morning and traveled to my fav coffee shop and ran into one of my coffee friends who had an exciting story about getting socked in the face (no fault of his own) and another one of our coffee friends who got a loogie hocked at him both happening last night at the coffee shop. Good times good times. Then I wondered around the grocery store to warm up and grab fixins for lunch/dinner and came home.

Hugs,

Greg

Just got back from my trip to the lobby. Since you asked, here’s the breakdown:

1 total junk (just a flyer, no envelope)

2 disguised junk (in envelopes trying to look official)

1 plea for donation

1 Christmas card from my mortgage banker (doesn’t count, does it?)

1 Christmas card from my brother and family (doesn’t count, either, does it?)

0 bills, but only because I’m set up to get most on line.

I seldom send cards. But I'll usually respond with a letter after the holidays to those that send to me.

Now I know where all you guys who used to write for Jerry Seinfeld's show went.

I, however went to the eye doctor today to see how my glaucoma is doin'

I didn't leave the house today, but tomorrow I will go shopping for groceries.

I threw away almost all of my mail unopened, except for a Christmas card from my cousin (no message) and a $27 bill from the gas company.

I’d really like to keep with the theme here, but I have to confess that since my last post I went out to get laid, and instead got screwed. Review to follow (on MER).

This is actually the most interesting thread I've read here in awhile!

I jut came home from work, and found I had no mail at all. I just ate a single serving cup of yoghurt for dinner (Trader Joe's Greek Style), and plan to go to bed shortly.

Not to worry. Sometimes the outside world intrudes, despite our best efforts. Just last week, I heard a neighbor screaming for help. Slipping on a new pair of noise-cancelling headphones, I was able to continue watching the Weather Channel, and finish tidying up my nose. :o

No wait. You guys don’t get it. I really did go out to get laid and when I say I got screwed I don’t mean in a good way. The guy was terrible. Review to follow. Do I need to apologize for hijacking this thread?

And BTW, it was the number 146 bus.

It's been raining non-stop all day here.

After I got home from work, I changed into my PJs and made some turkey sausage with balsmaic tomatoes for dinner. After brushing my teeth, I spent the rest of the evening surfing the web before going to bed at about 11:45pm ET.

OK, everyone let's meet in Wichata Kansas today at 3 pm and excite ourselves to death. This thread does sound like the lives of Seinfeld's guys! Remember tis the season to be JOLLY. :+

I've been up for a little bit now and am getting hungry. I've already showered and am debating if I want to go to one of my favorite greasy spoon diners Beth's Cafe http://www.bethscafe.com/ for breakfast. Pork chops, eggs and sausage is sounding quite yummy right now along with all you can eat hash browns.

It's a nice Friday morning here in the Nation's Capital and I plan to drive to work versus taking Metro. My work calendar is open all day and has no appointments. Thus I'll be able to process a few expense reports and invoices as well as review a contract.

Since it's a Friday it's very likely I'll cut out of the office around 3:00 PM and run an errand to the local grocery store so that I won't have to deal with such over the weekend.
