RE: Lunch with RockHard

> The Vicious Circle, ca. 1925

Speaking, however indirectly, of Dorothy Parker...

"I don't care what is written about me so long as it isn't true."

"Wit has truth in it; wisecracking is simply calisthenics with words."

"I know that there are things that never have been funny, and never will be. And I know that ridicule may be a shield, but it is not a weapon."

"I require only three things of a man. He must be handsome, ruthless and stupid."

"Money cannot buy health, but I'd settle for a diamond-studded wheelchair."

"The two most beautiful words in the English language are 'cheque enclosed.'"

"If you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at the people he gave it to."

"Heterosexuality is not normal, it's just common."

"Scratch a lover, and find a foe."

"People are more fun than anybody."

"I like to have a martini,

Two at the very most.

After three I'm under the table;

After four I'm under my host."

"You can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think."

"Ducking for apples -- change one letter and it's the story of my life."

"This is not a novel to be tossed aside lightly. It should be thrown with great force."

RE: Lunch with Rock and Leo

"Maybe he doesn't need to please Rockhard to please other men."

To please RockHard is to be a master at his own game. "Doing quite well" is OK, and some men are fine with OK, but it's no comparison to doing fabulously.

A star is a star is a star. Not everyone can be one but a few can be with a little encouragement (and maybe just the right art direction).

I have never seen a purplekow;

I never hope to see one;

I can tell you anyhow;

I'd rather see than be one

Help there is a purplekow in my mirror

"I guess I can now reveal that he is not a big tipper"

Is [a href=http://www.rentboy.com/listing.aspx?lid=160978" target="_blank]NYC rentboy/John[/a] a big enough TIP for you?

Contrary to my MC fun, I'm not showy when it comes to tipping because I think it's tacky. I prefer the Japanese gift-giving tradition, which I think has a lot of class. (Lucky saw a five but didn't realize it was a fifty and Amador came by after his shift to suck my cock.)

For a restaurant like Daniel, I play it safe at 20%. For other American restaurants, depending on the location and the quality of the food, I rely on 15-18%.

When in Europe, I give the local standard. If I feel I got particularly kind and welcoming service for an obvious American, I will often add 5-10% to what is standard for a local resident.

These formulas work well for me.

RE: RockHard tipping.

Amador was one busy mouth that day as he told me he had to suck just about everybody in the restaurant, he gets so horny at work. Just like Santa he made his rounds throughout the evening, and yes, I had my turn. A little bonus for having lunch with RockHard, because otherwise I would never have met Amador. So a five or a fifty, it got results.
