I know it was a long time ago but does anyone remember when Vince Vaughan was hot?

When he burst onto the movie scene he was a hot, tall, handsome stud who seemed destined to be Hollyweird's next big leading man.

I just saw a trailer for his latest trashy comedy and he's FAT, dumpy, balding ... what the hell happened to this guy?

It's not genetics or life as some have claimed. It's called laziness. Many Hollyweird stars start out "hot" and stay "hot" for 20 or more years (how about Cary Grant, Paul Newman, countless others ...) and others just get lazy and eat and drink too much (Brando is a prime example).

But you would think that that sort of thing had gone the way of the dodo bird.

You forget about the cold hard cash needed to stay "hot" for many of the current generation of stars. There's botox, silicone implants, hair plugs, tummy tucks, butt lifts, full facelifts, steroids, and all kinds of expensive treatments these people subject themselves to in order to remain viable for a few more years. Even George Clooney has had his eyes done to get rid of the bags.

I’d say having the financial wherewithal to afford the trainers, chefs, personal assistants, and plastic surgeons on call has more to do with the remarkable bodies than any other aspects. Oh and let’s not forget the make-up artists and photo-shopped pics that help create the illusion that these folks are better looking than the rest of us. When you see them up close they are not as beautiful as they’d like the public to believe.
