Long term escort/client relationship?

I was wondering if a long term escort/client relationship might occur more often than we suspect.  I have known two escorts in Florida for over ten years.  The first 5 or 6 as a client, but the remaining years as a friend on Facebook and texts and emails.  I believe they have both stopped escorting.

In Illinois, I have known two escorts for about 6 or 7 years.  The first 4 years as a client, but since then as friends.  In fact, I introduced them to each other, and we go our frequently for dinner, drinks, and the theatre.  I was invited to the wedding of one of them, and there I met another client with whom I have become good friends.  And as a result, we now go out as a group of 4 for drinks and to the theatre.  

I feel that this is more common than one would think.

That's also been like this in my life- as guys retire and move on, finish uni or start their careers, our relationships morph into friendship and more. Of course, not every client/provider experience follows this arc, but it's happened to me more often than not.

any permutation is possible.....and reasonable to assume could happen......certainly requires a long-term association......

about seven years ago, a much-trusted provider I know suggested I meet a straight local guy he knows.....this new guy dances at bachelorette-style gigs and the occasional male revue show....several years earlier, he "escort"ed for dudes, with strong limits......our first couple meets were in the "provider" range, but I quickly realized he could help me with a gym plan, an eating plan, and with other health hints......the known mutual buddy helped with the trust issue and his "straight guy" limits cooled down any future "provider"-style meets for me.....but we've hung out ever since, always in entirely non-"provider" settings:  hiking, four-wheeling, grabbing a meal, watching a movie......

One of the first escorts I met retired some years ago but we still remain platonic friends. There are a few active escorts I've known about 10 years or longer. I'm certain we'll maintain some form of friendship after they retire. I do maintain a friendship with one retired escort in particular and we sometimes go on trips together platonically. I'm going to visit him this October and meet him in NY for a show in November. I’ve even met some of his friends.

The guy I currently see the most, we go on extended trips together (mix of business and purely platonic) and see each other off the clock frequently. He’s met many of my friends and I’ve met two of his significant others and some of his family.

so yes, relationships can flourish beyond just a business one.

My first ever hire over 10 years ago on a visit to NYC has retired, but he and I have remained great friends, keeping in touch by text, talking on the phone and getting together whenever I get back to New York. I also have other escorts in Chicago and Dallas I count as good friends who have been retired for years, that I stay in touch with and visit in their respective cities.

In addition, there are 3 or 4 guys who have become great friends that visit my area on a regular basis, with whom I spend both time on the clock and off the clock. The difference between myself and previous commenters is that, whenever I am lucky enough to see any of these special men, I always hire them, but we also just hang out with each other off the clock, too.

These guys are very special to me and I know we’ll remain friends for life!

I have kept in touch with 2 of escorts I saw 6-7 years ago they are both out of the business.  We text just to see how things are going.  One of them was in town last month and we met for lunch and just catch up.  I insisted on picking up the tab...old habits.  I can see remaining in touch with my current go to guy when he leaves the escort business.  When you click with someone you want to remain friends.
