I met up with him and as soon as I was inside I saw he looked nothing like the pics. I told him that he didn’t look like his pics and I don’t feel comfortable and want to leave. Yes I felt subtly threatened but was more so trying to be safe cause I don’t know what he was capable of. He also called out for someone in another room. Just don’t want ro risk because I could’ve been ambushed who knows.

Thank you for posting about your experience. I hope other learn from it too - if you are meeting a guy for the first time, always (always!) meet in a public place like a coffee shop or hotel lobby first. If he doesn't look like his pics or you get a bad vibe - walk away!

Many of us have been there, my friend. Hazard of the game. You did the reasonable thing. But I wish you had spit a thick loogie on the green before you handed it to him.

Thanks for the support guys. I’m in my 20s so I will take this as a learning experience. I at least was able to call him a piece of shit which felt good.

Though it doesn’t happen to me often. When backpages was around I would meet guys with fake pics occasionally. If they don’t look like their pics I don’t confront them and just pay them. I may even pretend and just say I want a massage so I don’t have to have sex with them if they are unattractive. Because I was once nearly robbed by a fake escort that I invited to my hotel room, and he threatened to call a friend over to rob me if I did not pay him.
