When an escort has videos on their rent.men profile, what does it mean when they read “RentMen User Video”? Does this mean a client has submitted a video with this escort?

I'm not a paid member at the moment, but my recollection is that it seemed to happen if the escort uploaded more than 3 or 4 videos. The older uploads read "RentMen User Video" while the more recent ones were under his name.

Oh that’s disappointing. Lol. I I figured if a client was uploading vids, that could be the best kind of review of what they’re really like with a client.

Is it ridiculous that I'm too paranoid to pay for a RM account? I'm worried authorities might use it as evidence in a right wing regime. I know it's crazy and a possibly totally bogus paranoia but as much as I desire to see those private photos and videos something just stops me.

Well you need to be comfortable with your level of “risk”. I don’t see paying RM and looking at private pics something that would trigger any kind of prosecution. But again...up to your comfort Ievel.

everything we do online could be traced back to us.

Is up to us to make a choice see risk vs. reward.

Unless you run for office I think you'll be ok.

As a practical matter, the only way that law enforcement will obtain any data gathered by Rentmen is via a legal action and a subpoena to Rentmen. That's unlikely, and if it were to happen, the subpoena would likely not be broad enough to capture personal information about all users of the site. Also as a practical matter, becoming a registered user or subscribing to RM doesn't do more to identify you than visiting the site. Yes, you'd have to supply a credit card, but the site will capture your internet id whether you sign up to the site or just use it as a visitor.

I totally agree with you. That is the very reason I never paid for a RM account.

How's everything north of the border (south if you're in across the river from Detroit)?

Canada, of course, collaborates with the US and the UK at many levels even swaping data.

Yes

There, I fixed for you.

Too late honey.

"Too late" is an important point, so I'm jumping on board and blaring it. Most of the privacy we used to enjoy is gone. If you use a computer, a "pad" or a smart phone, surf the net, etc., a lot of identifying and use data is gathered and stored by the various telecoms. They use that data to target ads to you, prioritize what shows up when you run searches, and sometimes sell the data to marketers and other companies. The loss of privacy isn't due to government actions, but to our embrace of these technologies and services that gather our information.

If you use Bitcoin to pay, you can make up everything else.

Except your IP address. Even using a VPN doesn't really do that.

Not true, a good VPN will disguise your IP without issue. My IP is typically in Germany, but I travel all over the world virtually. Besides, they have your IP whether you login or not.

Yes, they do. There is no foolproof way to remain hidden.

I've made my peace that there is no privacy at all anymore. When I buy a pair of shoes at Nordstrom, I get a shoe ad on Facebook the next day. Don't know if they're monitoring credit card, the websites I visit, Nordstrom's points system data or what, but it's not coincidence.
