Hey none of us want you laughing your asses off, we like them right where they are.

The clip is very funny. Really got the cheesy set and the even cheesier answers down to a T. Could definitely put the real panelists name with each of the characters.

I have never seen a purplekow;

I never hope to see one;

I can tell you anyhow;

I'd rather see than be one

Help there is a purplekow in my mirror

It's interesting what triggers one's chuckle button. I watched it and yawned. The Paul Lynde character was so lame, it was embarrassing. x(

How do you know I didn't mean our appendices? :p (Don't worry; the asses are still firmly in place)

The only thing they got wrong was the seating. Left to right across the top, it should have been Nipsey, Brett and Charles; across the bottom, it should have been the bimbo (is that supposed to be Adrienne Barbeau or Barbara Sharma or...?), Doug Henning and Fannie Flagg. But otherwise, the impersonations were perfect.

< it was supposed to be Charles Nelson Reilly

Well, there ya go ... even that slight distinction got lost in the skit. Either way, the character was lame, IMHO. But it's sure no biggie. I'm just surprised that Lorne Michaels can't do a better job of resurrecting "gems" from the '70's and presenting them to an '08 audience. I hope I'm not senile when I observe that my eyes glaze over on '70's gameshow reruns and the Reilly/Lynde difference blurs. I do recall laffing my guts out at each of them. :+ :+

Now that's just plain funny... and if you and Derek do laugh off your ass's or any other body part I'm there to catch them.

I want to see the video of Bush giving away Jenna. Now they can do fornafacations and there love-a-macations like good little Bush's can. x(

I think they took the best qualities of each and morphed them into one über-queen. But Amy really captured Brett's laugh! And I love the Doug Henning character; my parents took me to see him on Broadway when I was only about 5 years old and I was enthralled. It might have been cheesy to an adult, but to a kindergartner, it was...magic. :)

I liked that they weren't doing overt commercials for Hillary anymore, but I didn't think it was very funny. However, if Gilda or Laraine or Jane had been playing Hillary with the same exact script, it would have been hysterical...

That's exactly how I took the actor's portrayal of a "morph" of two 70's closeted game show regulars and got a kick out of the skit. Guess you could call him "Charles Paul Lynde Nelson Rielly". I had forgotten about that boozy, cigarette voiced regular "Brett". She was spot on as her. What was her last name? Also have not thought about Fannie Flag in years. I thought the actress was trying to be the actress that played the receptionist from The Bob Newhart show, but think it was supposed to be Fannie Flag now as well. Very cute skit.

I just googled "Matchgame" and answered my own question. She was Brett Somers. Here is a bio all about her. Amy really did a spot on impersonation of her.
