Unable to open Instagram page

I tried to look at the page of Brazilian model Pedro Gicca. It says "Are you over 18?", but I can't find a place to answer that question. Am I missing something?

It doesn't work with me trying Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Microsoft Edge. What browser did you use?

I got the over 18 warning, saw no acknowledgment button...but did see “login”. I logged in with my account info and can see his Insta page. I’m using an iPad with Safari today.

Hmm. I can't use Safari because my desktop uses Windows. I'm logged in, but I still can't get past the page where is says one has to be 18+. My Instagram account doesn't have anything on it, but is there a place where one has to enter a birth date? Do I have to enter a birth date somewhere?

using both Firefox and Chrome, I'm also getting the "are you over 18?" page with no apparent "yes" button.....I'm logged in, but still no..........

 

a quick look at my profile and my settings shows no apparent age check area.....

It opened for me on Firefox without any prompt. There are some photos of him in swim trunks but nothing X-rated. (I'm not even sure X-rated material is permissible on Instagram.) It seems weird that there would be an age acknowledgement button.

I even tried with my Apple laptop using Safari, and I can't get past that page. When I click on the links in this response, I get the message:

I just did a quick Google search and found that some Instagram providers put age restrictions on who can view their content. So that's mystery solved part 1.

 

That same search revealed that Instagram might automatically let people view such profiles when they know you are over 18 based on data they have, which might be from your Facebook profile. So maybe this page is loading for people who have provided their dates of birth on Facebook but not for people who have no date of birth listed? I have my DOB on Facebook (not visible to other people, I think/hope) and my Facebook/Instagram accounts are linked.

 

As to not seeing a button to acknowledge that you are 18, I'd say that a number of things could be going on: Sometimes people install ad blockers or other anti-tracking add-ons that will prevent proper functioning of pop-ups like this. For example, I had to whitelist my bank's website because a Firefox addon was preventing me from being able to transfer money. Some web pages just don't play nice with some browsers (though it doesn't seem to be a browser issue here). I am not going to spend more time researching it, but I guess it's also possible that Instagram just isn't designed the way people are assuming (an acknowledgement button to let you in) but rather requires you to have your date of birth in your profile to view restricted pages. I don't know whether it's possible to enter a DOB on Instagram since I just used my Facebook profile when I created my Instagram account, but I assume there has to be a way to indicate your age there since they have functionality to restrict profiles to people below a certain age and they don't require users to have a Facebook account to sign up for Instagram.

 

My suggestion is to enter your DOB on Instagram and/or Facebook and try again if you really want to view this guy's page. He's cute, but there are a lot of other cuties on Instagram so if you don't want to provide your DOB then there are plenty of other men to oggle.

Thanks for taking the time. I do have a date of birth on Facebook indicating an age of over 21. It's not my correct birth date (I don't think it's everyone's business what my birth date is), but I think it has me as being 80 years old or something. I haven't found a place to enter a birth date on Instagram. Maybe there's a way to contact them and ask? I have moved on from this dude, obviously, but I'd hate this to be a recurring problem if there ends up being a number of people who age-restrict their page...
