I'm not a high performance athlete

Neither myself but I was horrified seeing hair around my keyboard so I'm adding other forms of protein just in case ?

Wow, if there are 5000mcg in just 1 drop then 5X what I take.

I’m not sure I understand their “5000 mcg” labeling? The fine print at bottom shows 59 1-ml doses in the bottle. 1ml is about 1000mcg? Or I’m figuring something incorrectly?

Well, I'm not the expert to answer those kind of questions :( Maybe a lovely @Unicorn can help ?

Do you mean micrograms, or why they used micrograms instead of milligrams?

There are 1000 micro grams in a milligram. I.e. 5000mcg = 5mg

Marketing I expect

Vitamin B is water soluble (as is Vitamin C), so I think you'd probably need to be taken massive doses to cause a problem. You are peeing away the excess. Maybe @EZEtoGRU has an educated medical opinion about that though.

Yes, 5000 mcg is just an awkward way of saying 5 mg. Rare to need more than 1 mg per day.

I'm so excited! Got these 2 at the supermarket: 1 American, 1 Canadian.

The Canadian product has a 50/50 approach, probably created for not-so-radical palates like mine.

I hope you enjoy them. When it gets too close to a beef taste and feel ... I can't do it. I did cook some fish last night to add to a salad.

OMG, I love Salmon and Tuna! But I'm always troubled by the lingering smell in the house :(

How many mcg @MikeBiDude ? I'm taking 1000mcg. I hope it's not too much.

I just thought of this. Another source of Vitamin B is by using whole grain flours instead of refined (if you do any baking). The bran and the germ are both Vitamin B sources.

After trying them separately, Canadian first, I have to say that the American product is superior.

The Canadian product, even being 50% animal meat, had a weird first taste and aftertaste.

The American product certainly exceeded my expectations after trying the Canadian product first.

The first taste of the American product was 90-95% proximate to the real thing, and it didn't need much seasoning.

Despite the after taste being a bit different, it didn't disturb the whole experience. Today I bought it again!
