I didn't read the link but I trust you. So, how can one expect to be rimmed if there is this risk around?

You can protect yourself by taking precautions like talking to your partner as part of consent - ask him when he was last tested and if that testing includes oral and anal swabs.

 

Practice good hygiene by making sure you are super clean down there; douching and enemas can help with that.

 

You can also use a latex dental dam or tongue condom. ?

Haha, thank you! The dental dam or tongue condom could be too extreme as a precaution for me but having a conversation certainly could give a sense of how careful the provider is. I love being rimmed but I understand not all providers do this. I think I've been lucky enough to have hired good tops that would do this for me, yet not having any health issues down there, after any encounter.

Can I ask a dumb question? Are there extra fields you get to see in the info block if you are a paid member? I don't see any field for top/bottom or safe/bb when I look at profiles on rentmen. Some people include it in their text or in hashtags but most don't seem to.

 

I think it's another USA-limitation. You won't see the detail when looking at the ad, but you can search by both of those criteria to determine which ads have those choices selected.

Ok but now I feel it was you who changed the topic? One thing is STDs, which can be transmitted despite using water and soap, and another different thing is proper cleaning of dirt and odors before a sexual encounter. I got confused by your comment because I can't conceive the idea of not cleaning properly if I'm going to be rimmed.

I don’t get the stats with all the tops. I hear there are more bottoms in the gay world than anything. I don’t necessarily believe that but finding a porn model muscle bottom is like discovering a two headed unicorn. Damn near impossible unless your willing to travel to the big city. Plus the BB info maybe skewed because most guys won’t advertise that unless you ask. A more accurate way to get a true number would be number of safe only responses.

 

I was just discussing this with a friend who is a provider: perhaps bottom escorts end up moving out of the market as the majority of clients are bottoms - at least that's been my experience. Without hard data, I'd expect that upwards of 90% or more of my clients across 5 years have been bottoms. In the last 5 months, I can remember less than six clients who were tops (COVID probably contributing to this low number).
