I'm really enjoying this thread - I plan on reading more this weekend (given the COVID-19 restrictions, lets face it, I have the time!) I too had the thought if part of the royal family's appeal and popularity was the Queen herself. Prince Charles doesn't seem to have the same appeal. Either way - I'm still fascinated by the concept.

 

And for the mention of Americans such as myself worshiping social media personalities (e.g. the Kardashians) very good point. I still don't understand the whole Kardashian thing. And as for President Trump...geez, don't even get me started lol
