Received an email from rentmen this morning changing location posted by providers

Does this mean I can track the provider on his way to my hotel?

If so that’s a nice change don’t you think?

Lol no it’s not like an Uber. Their current location updates when they share their gps when logged in. It doesn’t update in real time. That would be creepy.

also got this note from RM.....

my very first thought is I'd rather know their home base for future planning, not where they are "today" since I probably am not planning a meet for mere hours from now......the new plan may have a bit of a Grindr-like feel to it......the upcoming location schedule on the profiles seemed efficient

will have to see how it looks when it goes into effect on Monday the 9th

Can someone clarify what this change is discussed above?

Until a few weeks ago, you could easily have different home and gps locations set up on rentmen by selecting a new gps location and then navigating away from the page without saving, effectively allowing you to advertise easily in eight cities 6 travel plus home plus gps instead of seven. Alas, that software bug has been eliminated. Still, as of now, I can certainly pretend to be wherever I want on the maps feature without actually being there.

It seems users were less concerned with where an escort was based, but rather where he is and where he is going to be, hence the elimination of the feature. We won’t know until Monday but per your ability to “pretend to be wherever you want without actually being there,” I feel like they are going to implement new radius restrictions so you can no longer do that. Similar to you trying to set your home location in another country to no avail, RentMen intercepts the change. I think the website will always want to use your GPS now to reflect the most accurate listings. For visibility purposes, escorts were changing their home location in lieu of an upcoming trip instead of using the travel locations feature, causing confusion.

While my interpretation of the message is the same as yours, my suspicion is users did not provide that feedback. Like @azdr0710 said, knowing you are in Boston today doesn't do me much good if I am planning a trip to Paris and want to hire you when you get back home. It will prevent the escorts who say they are in Philadelphia this morning and Anchorage at noon, but that is the exception not the rule.

Yes I am curious where they got their feedback. If anything having both makes sense but without home location it will make this a bit challenging for me as I always plan ahead on trips
