the fact that he showed up even though he requires a deposit displays he really values his clients.

 

are we really reduced to this?......gushing over a provider who simply shows up without a deposit?......

 

(yes, I realize he's a decent guy, despite his ad now announcing his location will only be given to select clients)

Exactly. It's kinda funny and basically absurd.

 

But then again, some guys invite the abuse when they go down certain roads.

 

One group of guys is chastised when they ask for a deposit. Another is celebrated.

 

Go figure.

I guess I'll never know how wonderful this particular guy is since a request for an up front deposit is a non starter for me but more power to him. There are plenty of wonderful companions out there that do not require a deposit and I am happy to meet those great guys...

No requirement for a deposit for me... so I’m not sure what that’s about. But I’m a bit of a regular with the squad. ;)

I don't expect an escort to publish their address or hotel information in their ad, but maintaining secrecy about an entire city is just absurd.

Let me clear something up: I would have preferred not paying a deposit beforehand.

 

However, what I found commendable was that Rory asked for the deposit and he didn't rip me off. Given the number of times that people giving a deposit got ripped off by other escorts in the past that discussed it on this forum, I was nervous but I did it because I really wanted to meet Rory and the fact that I didn't get ripped off and Rory showed up shows he was professional on that front.

 

That's why I'm gushing. ;)

I'm glad you weren't ripped off, and that you enjoyed your session with Rory.* But you're actually gushing over the fact that he did the right thing, particularly when, in this context, that "right thing" is the absolute bare minimum -- honoring a client's deposit by simply showing up. I think folks are taken aback because, generally speaking, it's expected that we gush over someone who went above and beyond the norm to please us, not someone who didn't swindle us via the very means that he forced upon us as a condition of doing business with him.

 

*Seriously, I am sincerely happy for you. I've been cheated in this biz before and it really hurts, so I'm glad Rory didn't do that to you. I also know how valuable and affirming it can be when a professional sex worker imparts a positive experience on a client. So, I'm glad for you on both fronts.

Rory's earlier schedule suggested he was in England thru most of October and wouldn't take private meets.....it's possible the handler has the ad down temporarily because of that and also just to limit having to make replies
