A straight friend recently visited and went out of his way to contact me to tell me:

"You have to go there....it's like gay heaven....you'll LOVE IT!"

I've been looking around on line and so far....I'm not all that impressed.

I did find a travel agency that looks like they might be helpful.....https://www.outstandingtravel.com/

Has anyone used them?

Any advice on where to stay? (I am NOT staying in a Hilton btw).

Any advice on hiring there?

I checked out RM and Hunqz but it looks like slim pickings for a top who likes muscular bottoms.

Am I missing something?

Trip Update.

Jerusalem was fascinating.

Tel Aviv thinks it's more interesting than it is.

Think of a run down Miami, that's overrun with Brooklyn hipsters.

When will I finally learn to just let BN be my spirit guide?

Bummer, I'm actually sad to hear you didn't enjoy it. I would've loved to make some recommendations.

Per @Benjamin_Nicholas's point, the hotels are dated and run down. It's definitely a city you ONLY AirBnB in and there are some beautiful properties available for about the same cost of a dingy hotel. Unless you're really looking to unplug and just enjoy the beach or unless you're going for pride, it can be a rather meaningless destination. The men are some of the most beautiful I've met of any country, and the hookup scene is hot..the escort catalogue, not so much.

I'm in Provence at the moment, drinking my way through Southern France one Bourboulenc at a time. Hop on over ;)

Re: Tel Aviv... It'll be interesting to see how all of this new US tourism money will change the city. They could use a ton of 'new' things, as I can't even call what they currently have 'old in a charming way.' It ain't Mykonos.

@hypothetically however is right on that the men are beautiful (if they're your type). Built like brick-shithouses and swarthy.

Way back when I was just out of high school, my family and I took a trip to Israel, among other places, and we stayed at the Tel Aviv Hilton because my Dad's employer had special rates there. Dad and I hit the beach there and all I saw were good-looking dudes in Speedos. Being very naive, I simply chalked it up to the European/Middle East fashion style.

Only many years later did I realize that "Hilton Beach" is the "gay" beach for Tel Aviv.
