The "80 Years Of Actresses" was AWESOME! It was incredible to see all those women. However, I am confused as to why the author of that piece included Sandra Bullock. The piece had to do with good actresses so her inclusion confused me. If anything, Bullock should in included in a piece called "Excellence in High School Drama" along with the likes of Helen Hunt.

The wedding vows piece ... LOL!

Thanks for the entertainment today!

>god, i love stanwyck. she was perfection on the silver screen

>(too bad about "Big Cunt",,, er big valley)

I recently read that in the 1940s she was earning $400,000 per yr (a huge amount in those days) and was in fact the highest paid woman in all of the US (not just in the movies)

She's Derek and my favorite actor. Some of our all-time favorite films are "Stella Dallas," "The Lady Eve," and "No Man of Her Own" (later remade as "Mrs. Winterbourne" with Ricki Lake taking Stanwyck's role...blech).

Heresy! "The Big Slit" will air until the last ding-dong of doom.

Stanwyck is in that long line of film actresses who passed on to triumphal heights of kitsch on the small screen.

Along with Joan Bennett... Bea Arthur...

Well, that distinguished handful, anyway.

It would, by the way, be great if someone did a sequence of the some of better looking MALE Hollywood talent over the years. Any nominations of who all would have to be included (besides Cary Grant and Cary Grant)?
