YOU’D THINK:

* The second largest city in New England

* with TEN colleges/universities (might be 11 now)

* INCLUDING a medical school

* and a virtual suburb of Boston

Would have a supply of concierge services.

Considering I have to go 10 miles to get shoes: maybe not. N

My mother had a "concierge physician" for a number of years, and, I stress "HAD". He had a smile that glittered like the sun in tropic isles and a "great tan". That which I got from him were recorded telephone messages, "Hi, This is Dr. _________; I'm calling to let you know that I will be in _____________ for a week or two; don't call me, don't text me. If you have an emergency call __________ in the office." "No wait" appointments, gourmet coffee and designer trail mix did not compensate for "lousy" service.
