I went there before Fernando Henrique Cardoso's adjustment of the economy in 1993 and I paid $15 in a brothel in Copacabana.

 

That is equivalent to about $27 these days, adjusting for currency inflation. My best mid20teens-year deal by top-tier guy was about that, inclusive of tip. Not so different a quarter century on. I wasn't bragging and you know it... If you read it again you'll see it was Brazil in 1993 during the last year of their hyperinflation and before FHC Cavallo style adjustment of the economy.

I don't remember how much was the rate in the U.S. at the time.

 

He could have worked as a model here but as we all know life is tougher in 3rd world counties and folks don't have as many opportunities as they have here.

I would never compete in such a race to the bottom he wants the business to be. Besides it was 15 in Brazil in 1993... I don't know how much they charge in Brazil and Argentina now but I think I read on PINGA it's 50 to 100.

 

If you guys go to Brazil Bruno Gaucho is a must have, it was one of KYTOP's best recommendations on here.
