Hi guys. Once again, tapping into your excellent wisdom. I can readily appreciate that Cash Is King. Yet, I have to ask if other forms of payment are accepted...or perhaps even desired? My own concern is in transacting larger amounts for extended/travel sessions. I can be mugged in the best neighborhoods before I enter into the hotel lobby. I’m open to options as well as insight into how to change my POV to continue my own evolution. As always, thanks guys ?

It never occured to me yet, but I'd be glad to receive a donation in cryptocurrencies; perhaps Monero or Zcash for the added privacy (since you mention larger amounts).

It can be fast, secure, the money can't be counterfeited; there could be no excuses, no ATM needed, just 2 smartphones.

Cashing out could be troublesome taxation-side, depending on where you live, though.

What about apps like CashApp or Venmo?

I've used CashApp with two different guys, but *only* on followup meetings after we were comfortable with each and had already shared real names and phone numbers. You might not want to use this for a first time meeting as I had one guy verify in person the payment posted on his side and he checked his phone with me there and my name appeared as the sender even though it's not the name setup in the actual app for login.

I don't know if there is some type of setting for this since you can't control what is seen by the recipient on their side. It may just show the account holder/card holder name. I'm glad I saw an actual receipt sent by me to view how it appears for the guy so I know not to use it unless I am comfortable with the guy. I've only used it for these two guys that I like and I've seen on repeat meetings.

I too am interested in alternative payments. For a variety of reasons I can't and don't want to be carrying large amounts of cash. Only challenge I have is asking providers if they accept Venmo which is my preferred way. It's not usually in RM profiles so I have to ask each time along with all the other questions. Usually this is a deal breaker for me. I do have partial cash which I think its helpful and does not put the whole amount on the alternative payment. I have heard from providers that payments system sometime block or suspend them be because of the frequency or amount of these transactions.

Cash will always be preferred but on repeat or longer meetings I take Venmo and now Zelle ( aka Chase QuickPay for you Chase customers ). Problem with Cash app is the system can decide to bounce the payment up to 48 hours afterwards and that has happened to me numerous time ( even after it says the payment has been completed ). Google Pay is another good one as long as the client is using a debit card and not a bank transfer. I'm in the process of setting up an Accounts Receivable account so ACH or Wire transfers may become an option.

I agree. Cash is easiest. Sometime Venmo or Cashapp hoses the payment and then one time I had to walk with the provider to an ATM to get cash. So alternative payments may not always be ideal or foolproof. I get nervous when I go to do it and it doesnt complete and I dont like end our time that way. It is deflating. Have a great time and payment is messy. Ugh. Anyhow curious to know what others have to say.

As a foreigner, this is even more complicated. Most of the electronic options rely on having a US bank account (apart from PayPal), or are subject to the sort of reach-back @Kurtis Wolfe mentioned. So far I have relied on folding cash, but I'd be delighted if a reliable electronic option were available.

Haha!! Good one. And it would be easy for me to remember ?

I must tell you that when I read the name of this thread it reminded me of guys who offer trading with an escort a trip to Whole Foods, Costco, taking him to the dentist, etc. but not directly paying for his services. I know it's not what you mean obviously.

Haha. No, afraid I’m a bit more respectful of the time and effort which is required of being an escort. Besides, the size of my balls notwithstanding, they aren’t nearly large enough that I’d walk in bragging about my idiotic schemes on how to “work” the system. I like my balls attached thank you ?

Lemme think about options I've used in the past....

-Long ago in a galaxy far far away, postal money orders (shout out to Epigonos for suggesting that idea)

-Google Pay (many times and never had a problem)

-Paid the rent

-Paid the utilities

-Invested in a small business......fully repaid with interest :)

-Replaced a transmission.......best deal I ever struck :p

We tried to use Square to accept CC payments, but they shut us down after a few months. I suppose our activity moving around constantly was "suspicious". Venmo and Paypal work well now. Internationally, it's a challenge, however, so we still have to do cash when out of the country. We haven't found a good option for that yet.

It sounds like a Seeking Arrangement model. I can add one more:

Rented my extra room and was paid in species. :p

Ron, from your experience, how many escorts accept an alternate payment?

I recall @purplekow offering up life insurance shares?

Venmo has been my go to for cashless transactions. I have taken almost everything you’d think of but really only entertain the idea with clients I like :D

Cash is always long but I have an example. My client only had so much cash and wanted an overnight. I had met them before so didn’t mind splitting cash/Venmo. This was convenient for ya both snd the best of both worlds.

Puzzling on Square. I’m sure something was flagged possibly from someone that paid you which had them watch carefully.

I think in the end, cash will prevail in this industry. I now have the habit of paying restaurant bills with CC and leaving a cash tip. I’m sure my server appreciates it.

that wasn't an offer, that was a desperate act... and also potentially asking for trouble specially if you live close to the Jersey Shore...
