I’ll be in London next week, and I’m thinking about hiring Darius. He’s been mentioned in passing on several threads, but I can’t find mention of any actual encounter. The common (undocumented) assumption is that he’s limited, demanding, and somewhat stuck-up. I follow his IG and he doesn't SEEM like a douchebag; and my text interaction with him so far has been cordial.

 

Bottom (you’ll pardon the expression) line: can anybody brief me on what he’s actually like, as a hire?

I did contact him and his response of what he would do is very limiting, so never proceeded. That may be the reason why there are no/few actual reports here. Between his price point and limits, there is likely only a niche clientele. He's hot no doubt, but not on the value for $ scale

Yes ! (but not that extreme maybe) It may have something to do with the accepted preparation before and during a shoot. Studios are expert at it. Of course there is a lot of viagra/trimix and actors bring along their favorites. I remember in an interview the most famous was asked what he took before a bottoming scene. He said "coke and caviar". Most of us know that (not caviar) turns many straight guys into voracious bottoms. Maybe that's why the "party" thing creeps into ads.

 

But I'm sure there are other things about many of the porn guys. I do know from porn/escort friends that the ones that can be picky choose, of course, the "easy" clients. And there's one , Tom S. in Prague, none of us can figure out. Most unlimited in porn (and one of the world's best lookers) and the most limited in person. \

 

Other than choosing the easiest clients or coke there must be other factors. I just know those two.

 

And I follow DF on IG too and must say as voracious as he is in porn, he certainly leads a very straight life back home.

I've have also observed that there appears to be a higher asking rate now with many many more to choose from. An inversre relationship of sorts to supply and demand.

 

I remember years ago this was viewed by the worker as more of a "hooker" mentality. They knew what they were there for and got down to business right away. Now, I can think of at least 3 seperate occasions that the "escorts" listed bottoming, had videos in their profiles of bottoming, listed pic after pic of their hot asses and refused to bottom at the appointment. Each said they just "werent in the mood". Maybe it has to do with the entitlement attitude of youth now. Give me more and I'll do less sort of mentality.

I’ll report back on this session with Darius. In texting back and forth it’s clear that he is limited in (to me) not-unexpected ways. But he implied that some of those boundaries might be elastic, and his fee is actually pretty reasonable (by NYC standards anyway) so I ‘m gonna dive right in and see what happens.

He’s changed the text within his ad. Part of it used to say (I’m paraphrasing) “Don't ask me to kiss you when I’ve just met you. Don’t expect me to pretend to be your boyfriend.” I’m guessing that the reviewer on RM who left the 2 star review experienced this attitude previously expressed quite clearly by Darius.

Yes he’s a little short but I received no attitude or unwillingness on his part to do anything requested. His English is decent for a European but I can see how that could play into a misunderstanding regarding communications. His rate was very much in line with the going rate for the experience. (and with conversion actually came out slightly cheaper than NYC rates). I did not inquire about him being straight, but had no reason to believe he was? I would and plan on hiring again.
