Part of it might be that they want to be sure they are going to find a connection and be able to offer the client what the client wants.

While we all would hope that an escort would not have any hangups based on ethnicity, race, size, age, etc., the reality is that, just like us, they're attracted to some more than others. Might be bad business to show that kind of favoritism, but it is understandable.

Why do escorts ask for stats?? Some ask for race/ethnicity - like really? ?

I personally believe that escorts and non-therapeutic masseurs should not only ask these questions, but make their preferences clear too. It may seem initially harsh, but it will save us all time and money in the long run.

I haven’t indulged in an escort yet, but have had masseurs and will tell you, YMMV plays a significant role in one’s overall experience. Preferences and “types”, may not be fair, but this line of customer service is subjective.

I’d rather be told I’m not someone’s type because of my race, age or body type and save some money, rather than have an awkward, lackluster experience with a bad vibe.

I fully agree with you. Thanks @Monarchy79

All I can think of is one of my first massage experiences from masseur finder, and it was terrrible. Although this guy had wonderful reviews, after meeting him and having such a terrible experience with awful energy, I realized that he does not like black guys.... he could have told me that and saved me some money, and he could have had a client he actually prefers on his table.

And btw, he was black too. lol. ???

Escorts should own their prejudices (aka preferences ) but won't because of potential negative backlash. While it would save everyone a whole lot of time and trouble if there were check boxes in ads (i.e. do you accept clients over 50 : Y or N, overweight clients: Y or N, bald clients: etc etc) that is unlikely to happen any time soon. It might be helpful in the text of an ad for an escort to drop hints like I am only looking for younger in shape clients.

Part of me understands this and can agree that no one wants a bad experience on either side. I personally avoid any escort that notes for example, discounts for young and fit taking this to mean that while he may accept me as a client, I am definitely not what he is looking for. I also take into consideration how our conversation goes and how he asks me. If one of his first questions to me is (from a recent exchange -- "Whats your stats, age and ethnicity?" or "send me a picture") We are done, I don't go any further. But if in the process of feeling me out as a client, he asks a few personal questions designed to gain some of this information-- then I don't necessarily have the same negative reaction.
