I'm guessing this is much more feasible for escorts with large established customer networks, but is it reasonable to try to develop a network of some clients without using the big websites?

 

Personally, I've browsed these forums for a few years considering trying to break in to some part time escorting but the beginning of my interest happened to coincide with some crackdowns on certain sites which made me paranoid (along with the end of craigslist which I actually once found a 'client' on who I would have gladly kept seeing if he was a top)

 

It also seems like the popular sites are mostly geared towards guys who put up face pictures and I wouldn't be able to do that mostly because of my day job.

 

That said I don't think I would mind putting in the work to cultivate a small network and I know I would feel much more comfortable sharing pictures on an individual basis and allowing clients to refer others.

 

Am I going to spin my wheels trying to make this work? I know it will take longer and be harder so the obvious answer is it can be done just more slowly and less likely to bring in much of anything in the first few months. I guess I'm wondering if anyone feels strongly in either direction or maybe has advice for doing it this way.

 

Also, are there any places on these forums that reaching out to a potential client wouldn't be frowned upon? I assumed this was a no-no or any self promotion, but what if for instance someone posted looking for suggestions that I felt fit my description (small, muscular, white with dark features bubble butt bottom in NYC) would it be reasonable to reach out and introduce myself?

It’s reasonable. RentMen was always my go-to but in the last several months I’ve shifted my focus to meeting members on the forum, and truthfully, I prefer. It gives you the opportunity to build rapport and a reputation. It also gives you the ability to have a voice (something Rentmen has tried to do with its “Interview” feature but the questions are very cliché/K12). People will book you via the forum simply based on the quality of your content and your opinions on the forum, which makes for more personable sessions.

Partially true. While ads with faces will always take precedence, the mysterious, fake and phony get booked also. Those usually result in less-than-stellar reviews, obviously, but there are ways to be discreet on the platforms.

I think this is a great start by doing a soft introduction, the clients will come to you. I would at minimum encourage an avatar here showcasing as much as you are comfortable with.

Try both, one escort’s trash is another escort’s treasure and it varies greatly.

In the end, “word of mouth” is only going to get you so far.

It’s probably the formula I’d be most comfortable with if

I noticed you said you’ve been browsing the forums for a few years. So here are some old threads that may be refreshers in your inquiry. They can get long and contentious - so get yourself a cup of coffee and settle in for a reading session.

 

Photos. Hard to avoid. Different ways to approach the challenge. Some clients seek “anonymity” and don’t want to be seen in public, or be visited in their private residence or hotel, by a traceable escort. Don’t lie with your photos. They should be you. If photos are a great concern here’s an idea for the face. Take several different pictures. Use different angles, lighting and background scenarios. Slice and dice different photos. Maybe one just shows an eyebrow with part of an eye. Maybe another is left cheek. Another a portion of the lip and chin. They are separate pictures. But they are you. A person can get a good impression of what you look like. But the pictures are next to impossible to put together to make a composite that is google searchable to lead to you. Never use any photo (or any part of a photo) that you use in an ad, or provide to a prospective client, that comes from a photo used in social media. Keep them quite small and at a low resolution so they pixelate quickly if someone tries to enlarge them. The idea is to be able to have “plausible deniability” if a photo falls into grandma’s hands.

A white bottom in NYC with your characteristics would do pretty well.

 

May I suggest you place a link to an Instagram account that doesn't show your face pics for clients on here to take a look at you. You might also add to your signature something like "amateur available for private encounters with selected gentlemen in the NYC area" (something shorter might be better )

 

You should also try a website called seeking arrangement success and search for a few sugar daddies.

 

Stop wondering too much, this more simple than you think. I don't know how old you're but every year escorting becomes more competitive.

I spent a few minutes taking pictures of myself before realizing I will need to dedicate a little more time to it (and soon enough have someone take some for me I'm sure). You said "seeking arrangement success" but you meant success with 'seeking arrangement' right? believe it or not a few years back when I first posted on here I burned several weeks on there putting in consistent effort without success. I probably didn't put my best foot forward but the experience made me skeptical of the site in general (seemed to have a lot of duplicated fake profiles back then).
