@KurtBuns, welcome to the forum. I understand you've been lurking for years, but now you're an active participant and your avatar pic is great! It clearly shows your assets--which you've said you want to highlight--and also presents a body that looks proportional and healthy overall. Given how thoughtful and considerate you sound in your posts, I imagine you'll have some strong interest.

If your job is very discreet or sensitive to blackmail or exposure, consider layers of security. For example, a burner phone or at least a burner voip phone number would be wise. If you use your real mobile number, it's trivial to take that and search on a background site to find all about you. The same goes for using your real name and hosting in your home. Oh and if you are serious about this side hustle and you bring in good money, please plan ahead and have a cover for reporting a good chunk of it as income to the IRS. Maybe you are a personal trainer, coach, or other personal service. Professional cuddling is a growing thing. Don't evade paying taxes, the IRS likes making examples of little guys.

If you wish to talk more about discretion, feel free to direct message me.

but is it reasonable to try to develop a network of some clients without using the big websites?

It also seems like the popular sites are mostly geared towards guys who put up face pictures and I wouldn't be able to do that mostly because of my day job.

Consider the possibility that using the big websites, without a face pic, can develop you a network of quality clients. Having well-written ad copy, and decent-looking photos (consider blurring as well as cropping) goes a long way. I'm only one escort, but that's the way it went for me. These days most of my business is from regulars that I found months or years ago on the usual suspects: RM, backpage, and leolist (Canada only).

I can only imagine (I've never done it, on account of the same day-occupation reasons) that having a face pic gets you more clients, faster. But in my experience it is absolutely possible to achieve your goals in escorting without them, especially if, thanks to having a day job, you are not 100% dependent on the income.

I also can't speak to the general quality of clients who only respond to ads with face pics, as there is no doubt great variation amongst them, but I can say definitively that the clients I've met here in Vancouver, BC, who didn't require face pics, have been overwhelmingly kind, generous, and thoughtful people.

EDIT: one last thing: consider tryst.link as an advertising platform. The traffic is still much less than RM but the vibe is extremely escort friendly and encourages a balance of photos and written description. And for the time being, it's free!

There are apps that allow for you to have a burner/second phone number for your cell phone. Well worth the expense.
