What a year it has been 2006;

For men with great asses and extra thick dicks;

That is not all of which we speak here in Daddy's forum;

With a nod to Hooboy who ran it before him;

There have been discussions political, with lively debates;

Participants liberal, most without dates;

There were those of a more conservative bent;

Who pasted "I heart Bush" stickers wherever the went;

When arguments flared, like a hot Viking pyre;

Tom Isern was frequently stoking that fire;

If the remarks became cold, nasty and bitter;

Rockhard's sharp wit made most of us titter;

Adler turned detective and needed to ask;

Who was there hiding behind the IceFireWizard mask;

When he revealed (though most knew)that is was Mr. Draker;

Some sighed "ho-hum" but a few decried "Faker"

Juan of Vancouver had interesting views;

Of submission and domination and 9 basic truths;

Rick Monroe wrote post 6000, he told us with pride;

(His monument honors his posterior side);

Soccerjock's voice of blossoming youth;

Amused and informed, we, who are long in the tooth;

Benjamin Nichols needs a quick nod;

I needed to name drop the eye candy god;

Jasne; Boypayer; Deej and Louis;

And all other posters, the thanks are from me.

Some days are much tougher to get through than others but this forum guarantees me something funny, something thought provoking, something reliably supportive of the diversity of gay men and an outlet for whatever bizarre thoughts are running around in my own head. It makes it easier being a Purplekow and that's no bull.

PS I know the rhyme scheme is juvenile and forced and the grammar is not technical and there may even be a spelling error or two. Made it up on the run, treat it as you would a card from an 8 year old nephew who was forced to write it by the sister you never cared for anyway.

I think all of this talk about misspelling someone's last name is really silly...but by the way, who is this Rick Monroe that people often refer to? :p

Thanks back to you, P-kow. I've enjoyed your contributions here and elsewhere. ;-)

No, thank you.

Purplekow, and all of you guys,

Some close friend asked me recently why is it that I spend so much time in here, and it was only then that I realized I do. I rarely post, but I do come here everyday and am always amused and amazed by what happens here.

For many months now this message centre has been civil, polite, respectful, and it is a real pleasure to post anything knowing that one is not in severe danger of being caught in the middle of an infantile name-calling tirade. I for one, deeply appreciate this.

Thank you all for your contributions, for your disagreements, for your questions. I have really enjoyed myself here.

And of course, my best (and naughtiest) wishes to you all in this season of celebration, lewdness, drunkness, gluttony and excess. (Let's not forget Lust.)

A tight hug, a slow kiss, and hope to be able to keep reading you guys for a long time.

I agree that this has been a pleasurable read with some interesting insights, but a little bitchiness once and again can keep the sauce stirred and stops anything from sticking to the pot and burning.

So happy holidays to all the bitches out there too.

Why, thank you so much!

And the very same to you, with fond hopes that your sauce stays stirred, and your pot always burns brightly. :)
