I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, or in the travel section, but I'm going to be travelling to Paris in January and looking for recommendations on accommodations, entertainment, and well, of course, escorts. I'm booking accommodations right now so that's the top of my list. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Who else could you try if not?

I haven't tried him yet (or at least I haven't tried him in the flesh yet, since I touch myself thinking about him a few times every week), But you should definitely meet Franco.

A few clients of mine have been with him and they all report that everything written about him is just a pale reflection

.

The guy seems to be a total blast.

I hope you have fun. I for one love Paris in the winter.

My favorite area of Paris to stay in is the 6th arrondissement, Left Bank, near St. Germain. Very high quality hotels there, but much more discreet and not as flashy as the Right Bank, are: Relais Christine, Hotel d'Aubusson, and a very good deal -- the Abbaye St. Germain.

These are quiet, but very pretty and charming, relatively small hotels. I'm not sure it would be cool to bring in escorts though, as the hotels are small enough for the staff to see everything.

I haven't done the escort scene there, so I don't know about that. If you plan to stay at the big tourist hotels, plan to spend a small fortune.

It's hard to recommend when we don't know anything about your budget. Paris can quickly escolate from pricy to out of this stratasphere. Where are you comfortable and what do you want to be near to?

Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, so location is very important for me.

Hotel du Jeu de Paris is a little pricey, but not too bad. Beautiful hotel, with small rooms. But the reason to stay at the Hotel is the location on the Ille St. Louis, an island in the middle of the Seine.

The Marais is a short walk away as are many other interesting neighborhoods. It would be hard to find more central location.

Enjoy whatever you decide.

Every time I go to Paris I always stay at the Marais section. The hotel of my choice is Villa Beaumarchais 5, rue des Arquebusiers, 75003 Paris. It is very quiet and convenient to other "gay venues". The staff are gay friendly and I did not have trouble bringing guests.

You're right, good point. My budget is about US$300/night - I'm not sure how far that will go, but based on my first browsing of hotels it does look like many are in the stratasphere, to be sure! I'm realistic, it doesn't need to be fancy.

I'm not really sure what part of town I'd want to be in... I haven't been to Paris in nearly 20 years, and then I was a student staying in youth hostels, and I was still in the closet. So this should be altogether different! I've got tickets to a concert at a club called La Locamotive on Boulevard de Clichy (near the Moulin Rouge) but don't neessarily need to be around there.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations, much appreciated!

Your are right. Proof reading has never been my strong point and it gets worse as the years go by.

There are cheaper hotels with bigger rooms in the Marais.

I've loved the Ille St. Louis since I first discovered the island in 1980. I happened to stay at the hotel during the two weeks following 9/11/01. A family atmosphere developed between the French owners and staff and those staying at the hotel. Extraordinary experience.

By coincidence I also stayed there during the London subway bombing in July, 2005. Maybe I should let people on this site know when I am traveling to Paris. Who knows what horrible event may happen next.

Bottom line: Super location.

Yeah, you and KYTOP.

Blackouts, hurricanes, terrorist events, or whatever, please do let everyone know where you're going!

LOL
