I don’t know if it’s just the climate or the city where I live in. I rarely get a noshow when it comes to massage services but dear god 6 out of 10 clients for escorting don’t show up or even respond after a booking.

I never cancel on a client, and I try hard to be punctual. I also hire guys at times for massages but I would never think “ To flake or not show up” .

At the end of the day Massures and Escorts depend on there profession choice to have a roof over there head. We are not tools or pieces of meat that can be discarded and treated like trash. I always give the same level of respect that I am giving and would be nice of the escort / massure and client community to respect each other alot more.

If you can’t make a booking or get cold feet just say so. We would rather know then to wait around twiddling our thumbs.

Thank you reading my frustrations.

good to vent!....you're a longtime member here at the forum and you probably know this is a common concern with many providers.....no answer has ever been proposed that solves it......I'm sure it's very frustrating......there may be some discussion in the "Ask An Escort" subforum here that might help

I agree. However, there is an answer: full decriminalization. Sex workers are not going to be fully respected until their activity is fully legal and they can demand the respect they deserve.

It is astonishing how rarely we heard about legalization in Puritan America. We have so many channels to make our voices loud and clear, but we are so scared, sex is so stigmatized in the Land of the Free, that we all just shut up.

I cannot wait to retire and stop hiding my face and my voice.

I have had some issues with companions in SF flaking on me. Not sure if it’s just been bad luck on my end but I agree it’s important to respect other people’s time. @Daniel84 i can say I wouldn’t cancel on you if I scheduled a meeting; you look great in your profile :)

guys are horny...RIGHT THEN AND THERE!. give them a few minutes after they make the appt that they cool down and now it aint such a big deal and they cancel or no show. not condoning the behavior just saying it like it is. do you know how many do the same thing on grindr? same percentage!

Then they jack off and the itch is gone.

No Shows happen in Europe too... Flakiness between clients and escorts goes both ways and it would survive the legalization of sex worker if that ever happens here.

Happy holidays

You could try confirming say 8 hours before. Ain't nothing to just send a text.

On my last visit to LA a well-reviewed guy flaked on me twice, ruining two nights in town. Sounded like he was stringing me along while waiting for longer bookings. Next time I'm in LA, my evenings will be spent with friends and attending concerts.

It's just reality that businesses of all sorts bump small clients for big ones. In the case of a one-person business, it's sort of a necessity. That said there are definitely better and worse ways to handle it. One provider I know always says "I've penciled you in on my calendar; let me confirm with you the day of." That way, both parties know it's still possible (however unlikely) that they will have to reschedule. I think this is actually good for both parties -- clients can have schedule problems come up too, they can get sick, etc.

Or go for Trap. If you are into passionate French kissers and insatiable tireless bottoms, he will blow your mind.

In a perverse way ;), I'm glad you got frustrated enough to post -- I never knew you existed and now, thanks to @@azdr0710, you're on my SF to-do list!

More seriously: Checking back with clients in the couple of days before should at least provide advance warning that someone is likely to flake. As client, I similarly check in once or twice before an appointment. Works 99% of the time, although once or twice guys have no-showed despite having confirmed less than 12 hours before.

When I don’t get confirmation that our date is confirmed, I assume that the provider changed his mind. When I get an SMS in the morning asking “are we still on?”, I know we’re solid. Works well for me, as @caliguy suggests.

You've got to expect some percentage of flakes in any kind of customer service business. Comes with the territory. 60%, though? That's insane. Hopefully you're just on a streak of bad luck. Is that percentage common among escorts? Do the flakers book in advance or are they short-notice appointments? (If the latter, are the 4 out of 10 that work out worth the stress and anger the other 6 create for you? If not, consider going appointment only.)

I totally agree with the suggestions to text night before/early day of. I'll usually book in advance if I'm travelling and text when I hit town and the morning of the appointment. Probably 50% of the time the guy I've hired will text me first to confirm. Gives both parties a sense of confidence that things will go as planned.

I've had to cancel on short notice once or twice. Sometimes life happens. But, I always try to call to tell the guy directly, text if I can't get him. (I've had escorts no-show, but only one extended me the same courtesy.) Whether client or escort, there should be a special place in hell for those who just don't follow through.
