I’ve had interesting conversations with several escorts about the amount of time wasted looking at weird, rude and worthless texts from guys who either have no intention of hiring them or they’re just assholes. I’m curious, can anyone estimate for me the percentage of messages you receive that are like that? In addition to satisfying my curiosity, it might be good for us clients to know what you guys have to put up with.

The biggest wastes of time are the phone callers. They next to never follow through and book, while most everyone who books an online appointment is legit and shows. The more mindless questions that are asked, the less likely they will take a whirl.

I would estimate about 15% of the messages I receive are wastes of some variety. Typically, they are messages that just say "avail?" or "sup?" (which I don't acknowledge) or just a "hello" or "saw your ad" to which I respond something like "hello, this is eric - who is this?" and which gives a 50% chance they'll never respond.

 

I am counting messages that don't result in appointments for whatever reason in the 85% of communication that I receive that's legit.

 

What can be really interesting to track is how many conversations you have versus how many appointments - I find that to be a more interesting measure of the work I do. I tracked this for about 6 months a year ago or so and found I have about 10 conversations for every appointment that I have. That includes conversations with others that didn't result in an appointment and separate conversations with the same person over multiple days counted each day (so if we exchanged some texts yesterday and then again today, that I would count as 2 conversations when tracking this).

Same. Manhattan is the absolute worst, hands down. Paris is a goldmine. London I have mixed reviews but still much better than manhattan.

The main issue affecting escorts is the flakiness, no shows, guys shopping around, etc. Rude messaging by some potential clients might be a way for them to know that's a guy they don't want to see and therefore a blessing in disguise.

Funnily enough, I get contacted in waves usually around the same time each month. I'd say up to 50% of them are time wasters (including scams/phishing attempts, wanting to sext/phone sex, or otherwise are not not serious about booking). The other 50% are from people who show genuine interest and aren't trying to jerk off through our communication, though they may not complete a booking.

It's too bad that the escorts on here responding find that "phone callers" are in their experience the biggest wastes of their time. But i see why.

 

Personally I would never call without given an explicit ok first from the escort.

 

This client prefers calls in advance to make sure (as best as possible) that there are not any expectations gaps, or misunderstandings or misrepresentations. At least for me, the purpose of the call is to make sure the escort is "real", we're mutually in sync, and 100% is trying to not waste either of our times if we did meet up and then discovered we weren't a good fit. The phone conversation is also very much intended ultimately to help them not waste more time later.

 

But i completely understand that real escorts who are on this forum and are true professionals would have this perspective because they know they are trustworthy, reliable and real but from the client's point of view we also have to find the chaff from the wheat of "time wasters" and i often feel that a professional won't mind a call (after establishing a few things over email or text) and the fakers or others who have people representing them are reluctant to speak.
