Solutions To Nibbling On Earlobes When The Guy Is Wearing Earrings?

With the increased number of guys wearing earrings, how do my fellow earlobe aficionados handle it? Do y'all forego nibbling? Or do y'all accept the taste of metal/gems?

 

I'd have the same question aboug nips. But those are usually more permanently in place than earrings, and I can't imagine anyway to get beyond the piercings.
