Will the all-powerful and benevolent Oz succeed in creating a new business model: an online cornucopia of bottom-line profit, a swirling fireworks display of all things male-escort and the men who love them? Time will tell but, by the look of things, this businessman/consultant thinks too many mistakes have already been made, and continue.

I know this post will likely cause deej to slide off his commode while pontificating the joys of fairness and researching the definition of hypocrite but who among us doesn't relish every opportunity to get a rise out of that pesky little, Merman-loving tech helper whose personality is sometimes more sour than months-old crème fraîche, discarded by Scott Adler on his previous visit to Taillevent in Paris?

Sure, the idea to enter the marketplace soon after Hooboy died, especially in the midst of loyal Hooboy fans gnawing and grinding their blood-stained teeth on tasty bits of urine-soaked gossip, which were heightened to levels of notoriety not seen since Ted Kennedy's Chappaquiddick faux pas, seemed like a good one. On the surface, at least.

But then word quickly got out that the all-powerful and benevolent MER-owner was bathing in a cash-lined Jacuzzi, paid for with profits from those who merrily feed off the bareback trough. And then, after Oz tried to justify, to this author and others, his morally-bankrupt view of Capitalism, in the name of give-em-what-they-want gay community support, he changed MER's WhoIs info with the Domain Name Registrant, hoping that would fix his out-of-control controversy that never should have occurred in the first place. So much for being a smart-thinking entrepreneur. (Hey, can you loan me 75K?)

Yes, Rico reported this plug-the-hole-before-the-shit-stains-the-Jacuzzi episode but Rico's a hypocrite, too. He seems to love anything that disparages Daddy and the Hooboy creation and will say whatever it takes to get his hit-counters to aid in his reaching an orgasm. (Porn doesn't do it anymore.)

Then one has to strongly consider these thoughts, written by the all-powerful and benevolent:

"Your post gave me another chance for enlightenment. You seem to have a grasp on Rockhard. I don't think he is a new poster. It seems to me that he has been around for a while."

If Oz were smarter, he would realize that I've been telling the truth all along because, other than my identity, I have nothing to hide. Many folks now know, especially Daddy, that I've never posted on HooBoy's MC prior to October 2005 and I've given Daddy permission to publicly say that my IP address for RockHard (which has not changed) is not associated with any other username on the MC. (Daddy respects my privacy and wishes to remain silent.) I've already stated that I post reviews under a different name and use a different modem location to do so and have been posting reviews for many years. However, for the fair benefit of the escorts, I will never reveal that username.

"I go to bed each night with a smile on my face. I love my life and I have great fun every day. If I let the RockHard’s of the world get me down, I would be throwing a pity party often. I don’t. Why? He is insignificant to my life or me. I actually find him (or her) amusing in the way he plays his games with the minds of others. My feelings are not hurt with what he or others say. Many need to put others down to feel better themselves. Many need to make others appear inferior. It has always been that way and always will."

Hurt feelings? Are you fucking kidding me? Mind you, this post was found in a message to Scott Adler on a thread about Rico's legitimacy (as anything important). What the fuck am I doing there?

Sorry, Oz, my professional opinion is NOT a mind game and nor are my opinions personal "put downs." My professional opinion is simply based on acute observations. I have nothing personal against anyone, especially someone I don't know. I react to what I read, see and know.

Furthermore, if I'm so "insignificant" to your life then why even mention me, especially in a thread where this pity-party-paragraph was found? I've advised Benjamin Nicholas many times: in the face of adversity, walk away and DO NOT respond. Why would I advise you any differently? A smarter businessman would not acknowledge me, Oz, because, to do so, means I've succeeded in illuminating his weaknesses.

Even though I think it's completely inappropriate for Oz to participate or offer any comment on any public Hooboy-estate discussions, I do not wish Oz's venture to fail. I firmly believe competition is always good for business and the consumer. I'm a builder, not a destroyer. And I have no personal or financial stake in Daddy's success. However, as a business model, it's impossible for me to support MER because the failure to create something greater than Hooboy's vision is simply not there. #1 will always be #1 and Daddy has the advantage with all the reviews.

Daddy also has the advantage because Daddy wishes to up the ante on forum decorum. I've always said ever since I registered that forum moderation is the key to growth. You CANNOT have a successful forum if the owner permits unmoderated mayhem and/or inappropriate rudeness. In order to control out-of-control posters, someone has to be reprimanded and/or banned and too many unpleasant gay men DO NOT want to be told "no." They get enough "no" in their lives, which helps to explain their chronic anger. Upping the ante is no easy task.

Yet, many gay men like me, who simply wish to have fun, share ideas and participate in interesting dialogue (and not to mention, purchase a few good men), WILL NOT register and participate in a forum that nurtures and coddles behavior from hateful cunts. You may attract many lurkers with this dysfunctional side-show but the registered pussy-chortlers will remain the same.

And, Oz, given your ridiculous assumptions of me, voiced publicly, and the bevy of M4M rejects you nurse, your disrespect for Hooboy's privacy, and the mistakes you've made from the beginning, all lead me to the scent of turkey. I believe the outlook of MER's profitability looks bleak and I predict it will be a very long time, if ever, before you will be able to charge members for registration. There simply remains nothing to buy. And worse, the gay men you've initially attracted, especially that disgusting lot from the failed escortspeak, DON'T have any money and they can't write reviews until they come up with cash. The only words they specialize in are their caddy, sniping, unintelligent, fag-barbs. Good luck moderating them.

ps Contrary to TakeTwit, TakeTwat, ChgoBoy, mbarz or whatever name that schizophrenic diaper-rash is using, I do not post here every day (although, I see nothing wrong with those who do). Therefore, it is not with regret when I inform readers I will not be able to respond to any posts or private emails for the next month, unless you plan to stop by the Hotel Cala di Volpe in Sardinia.

I wish everyone a fun Indian Summer. See you in a month.

"Caddy"? Catty? (Good grief! I can't believe I actually read that far! I've got to get out of the house more, perhaps to somewhere glamorous, like Sardinia.)

>Volpe in Sardinia.

I ought not to do this but the temptation is too great.

At tripadvisor.com, jiggle the handle for "Hotel Cala di Volpe" and these reviews come to the top:

The hotel feel much to big for us. The overall atmosphere is more of a "vaccation club" then a cosy Luxury hotel. The worst is the breakfast room you really feel you are in a "Club Med". However, the restaurant for lunch, of course outside only, is excellent (small, very good, with an excellent service at it should be).

The hotel is beautiful, the view is like a postcard but that's as far as it goes.

The rooms are clean but small, the dinner is a total rip off...

140 euros per head (didn't have the choice to get only one dish each) and this to start with a buffet with nothing out of the ordinary... The rest of the dinner was okey but that's it.

The breakfast was just the same.

I can't say that we didn't appreciate our stay but we will not be back.

There is nothing wrong with this facitly, however the meals were RICDIULOUS and there are no a la carte menus. Breakfast was 50 euros EACH, and lunch AND dinner 165 euros each meal, each person. There was a plan for 280 ruos per person per day for all three meals. I got the feeling most people are there on points, and the way they make their money is from meals!!

Also, the palce and pool are very big and spread out for privacy, but it give an overall feeling a coldness. The staff looks you up and doen and constantly asks your room number...thye know who is starwook and who is not.

We love Sardinia, it is a great island with lots to see and do, don't waste your points, look at the facilty and stay somewhere else!

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights on our works overseas conference. We were really dissapointed in the standard of the rooms. Very small and without baths or a room safe. No iron in any rooms apparently it is against Italian Law. Buffet lunches ok if you likle salad and very chewey meat. Only one bath towel provided per person in room, and a minimum of toiletries, shampoo shower gel etc. Not a lot to do around the hotel very quiet and not within walking distance of the local town. The bar prices were marked up 1000% to what the local supermarket charged. A local bottle of plonk cost 55 euros same bottle in supermarket 4.95. Best thing about this hotel is the Pizza place 500 yard up the street where 6 of us ate and drank for 100 euros. Not a place you should visit unless you are a multi millionairre with no value on your hard earned cash. Not a place I shall revisit nor recommend to my friends.

RockHard, enjoy!

I've kept my mouth shut for a long time as I try to be nice and civil on these boards, but Rockhard...you really need to remove whatever crawled up your ass and died.

It's posts like yours that have made me almost completely quit coming on these boards and only post on the maleescortreview boards. For a group of "rejects" as you say, the community over there sure is a lot friendlier and enjoyable.

Ok, I'm done. I'm back in nice mode again. :-)

Good point, Jesse. I have found a very friendly welcome over at malescortreview.com. There are good and bad points in any message center as is to be expected when a cross-section of guys arrive to discuss and debate. But so far civillity is at top form over there.

Much has been said in my absence and very little was original and/or thought-provoking. As always here, the bigger minds remain quiet or use discretion, as in private email. I thank those who wished me safe travel.

I felt like responding to some of the things I read. Those thoughts follow (in no particular order):

""Caddy"? Catty?" from Charlie

I make malapropian mistakes all the time, especially when I type fast. Thanks for pointing this one out, Charlie.

"At tripadvisor.com, jiggle the handle for "Hotel Cala di Volpe" and these reviews come to the top." from AdamSmith

How amusing. I love a resourceful gay guy but does this make him a really smart traveler?

Any (gay) man with travel experience knows that TripAdvisor reviews must be scrutinized with care. Like many review sites, TripAdvisor offers no checks and balances and, therefore, is a well known depository for disgruntled ex-employees and/or cheap people who insist on getting something for nothing, ie: travel-point freebees and/or failed upgrades. Highly competitive properties play the TripAdvisor-Bash game, too. (I do not subscribe to Starwood's Preferred Guest Program.)

I pay an annual $100 membership fee to an online travel forum that attracts serious travel enthusiasts from around the world who seek and write about their best travel experiences. With no troll activity, one can get unbiased trip reports, with photos, recommended room numbers, and the best places to dine. Knowing how and where to research anything separates the boys from the men.

Contrary to my poorly worded bon voyage, I spent a month in Italy but only five days at Cala di Volpe. I would go stir-crazy if I did the same thing for an entire month. I also stayed at the Four Seasons in Milan, Villa Feltrinelli in Gargnano, and Hotel Cipriani in Venice. I'm sure one could find bad reviews on all these five-star hotels at TripAdvisor.

Make no mistake, Cala di Volpe is a fabulous hotel experience and, yes, the men are drop-dead gorgeous. (The Four Seasons Milan trumped them all on the "hot-men" factor.) Wherever rich-folk play, you will always find model-types lingering (or pretending to work). Money, beauty, fame, and power—it's a well-known cocktail, dears. Watching the disheveled Mr. Weinstein prey on pretty, young girls at Flavio Briatore's "Billionaire Club" is a sight to behold. Even the ugly, straight men desire the prettiest young nymphs. And every young play-thing has a price.

This was the coldest summer I've ever experienced in Sardinia and it was my first experience with a Sardinian thunderstorm. I happened to be at a private party at the Billioniare's Club when the storm struck. Watching the rich-folk run for cover provided amusing observations.

Prices in Sardinia are insane, especially with our weak dollar. The Billionaire's Club is charging $60 for a single cocktail, this includes a small bottle of coca-cola. Lunch for two at Cala di Volpe will easily set you back $400. At least breakfast comes with a honey bath. Sardinia is no place for penny counters.

Lake Garda offered cooler temps, too, but nothing matters when you stay at Villa Feltrinelli. Lake Como is the more exciting lake but Villa d'Este is too big for my tastes. Feltrinelli truly feels like a home. Shall I go on about Bob Burns? Talk about genius.

Hotel Cipriani in Venice attracts the most amusing people. The people watching can't be beat. They're one of the few hotels in Venice that offers a pool, and what a great pool it is. I have my favorite room and they know what it is. My Cipriani massage therapist is incredibly hot.

Needless to say, I'm rested and invigorated, ready to take on another year in NYC (and the boys on the MC).

"But my question is to the masses at M4M and MER where is the out cry (regarding Jesse Dane's alleged barebacking videos)? Or is it OK since he is young and cute and POZ anyway? Rico say, you're all fucking hypocrites. Especially RockHard and others." from Rico

What masses? Does Rico mean the thirteen people who read HoovilleNews? Hasn't Rico heard that Hooboy and Hooville are dead? The name "HoovilleNews" is about as dated as Rico's Sony Betamax. Rico calling me a hypocrite? Now that's funny. How could I provide outrage when I know nothing about Jesse Dane's alleged barebacking ventures? No one has heard of Jesse Dane in Italy. I don't know anyone in New York who has heard of him either. I think Jesse Dane's stardom may be a product of his own imagination. Sort of like Rico's fame. Only Rico would expect mass hysteria in response to an alleged rumor, not to mention, a rumor he started. Silly fool.

I think escorts are very much like actors, and when it comes to protecting their careers, many should know when to keep their mouth shut and not say stupid things. (Ask Tom Cruise.) Jesse, if you think I was calling all MER members "reject," including yourself, then you're dumber than I thought. Like I've said, over and over again: if you choose to join the group I describe, that's your issue, not mine.

"Good point, Jesse. I have found a very friendly welcome over at malescortreview." from Lucky

Find me a twink-type Lucky doesn't love. His tastes are so mediocre. Jesse Dane is just not hot. I, for one, will not miss any of Lucky's useless contributions here. Enjoy your new home and new friends, dear.

"Rockhard's rage about OZ and MER wins the most boring, yawn inducing post award year to date. It is simply empty, meaningless, offers no value and contains useless information." from Rico

Funny, I think the same about HoovilleNews. See, Rico, we have something in common.

"Daddy doesn't have the reviews you moron. Except for the past year the estate owns the reviews. Spend less time on your whimsical wording and more time on your facts in the future and maybe someone will even pay attention to your muddled ramblings." from Rico

Unless you masturbate 24/7 to tired, repetitive, fantasy writing, what moron cares about two-year old reviews? Would any gay man (excluding those who reside in a trailer park and have less than a third-grade education) EVER rely on a two-year old review of a restaurant? Some gay men are plain stupid and say the dumbest things.

"That review you posted on the other site about the hotel he is supposedly staying at was really funny, too bad he is only really staying there in his own little make believe fantasy world." from mbarz

"Rockhard - Oh wait he is busy pretending to be on vacation." from Rico

"Of course, I agree that it was cowardly to post such a long nasty message and then mention a resort in Sardinia where he would be staying for a month and therefore unavailable to respond to e-mails. An 'important' person like Rock would surely bring his laptop. If the laptop fails, Sardinia must have Internet cafes. For all we really know Rock is still in New York City and just wanted to impress us with his phoney "vacation." from Buddy2

Me, cowardly! That's funny, too.

When I'm in work-mode, I'll work at a computer 24/7. When I decide to treat myself to a vacation, the last thing I wish to see is a computer screen. I don't do Internet Cafes. If someone needs to reach me, I have a World Phone and they know the number. Furthermore, none of my fantasy worlds are "little." (Unlike mbarz' mind and dick.)

I'm never quite sure what to say about cynics except I don't keep any as friends. Cynical people are that way for a reason and the reason has nothing to do with me. The same is true for the pessimists, the conspiracy theorists, and the folks who cling to negativity. They're all incredibly uninteresting and I pity them.

I realize many people have no clue who they want to be or what they wish to accomplish. Some people don't dream, never had a dream, and don't care to dream. I've never been one of them.

"Resorts can be almost as dreadful as cruises." from AdamSmith

I wouldn't equate Cala di Volpe with Sandals. Furthermore, generalizations tend to be narrow-minded.

"I would envy him if he were on an African Safari (a dream for me)." from TotallyOz

I think envy (and jealousy) are a complete waste of time. If you don't have the life you want, forget the blame game and get to work. It's far more healthy and productive to have a dream and work on realizing it. I offer my life experience for no other reason than to inspire someone. If I provide one reader with satisfaction and/or motivation then my goal has been achieved. I don't need to know it. The nay-sayers mean nothing to me (but reveal much about themselves; hence, my entertainment).

"(My favorite RH locution of all – we who hire are “men who are willing to throw away hundreds of dollars on a chance at orgasm and fake love.” Right on!)" from AdamSmith

I love that line but you took liberties with the paraphrasing. I never said "we who hire" or implied "all men who hire." I really dislike it when men distort my words.

"I loved how he chided Oz for criticizing him, but than was petty enough to criticize and call me and Chgoboy childish names. He really is a pompous ass." from mbarz

Speaking of calling childish names.

mbarz' middle name is "hate" and I've never encountered a more unhappy blogger. He can't write a coherent statement and really needs to find something more fruitful to do with his life. He masturbates constantly, seeking pleasure and fulfillment, and it only makes him more miserable. The same is true for Rico.

At least Oz was smart enough to keep his mouth shut. There may be hope.

Thanks for reading, everyone. :-)

ps TakeTwat has nothing to say that isn't psychotic. I can't dignify his posts by responding. Mental health patients deserve better treatment in this country. I urge everyone to donate to mental health research when they can.

RockHard, no quibble with your remarks about tripadvisor.com. Cheap shot on my part, in fun.

However, I do pose one question in seriousness:

>"(My favorite RH locution of all – we who

>hire are “men who are willing to throw away hundreds of

>dollars on a chance at orgasm and fake love.” Right on!)" from

>AdamSmith

>I love that line but you took liberties with the paraphrasing.

>I never said "we who hire" or implied "all men who hire." I

>really dislike it when men distort my words.

Here is your complete post containing the phrase in question:

Dear Daddy,

Since, presumably, you have access to my IP address, I grant you permission to create a post, telling the finer gentlemen on this board that I have never before posted here in the Message Center under any other name. I fully understand this won't stop certain posters from promoting their hateful, negative agenda, degrading rumors, and cockamamy conspiracy theories. But I also understand the term "evil queen" exists for a reason. And, like I said in a previous post, some gay men have earned their right to be miserable.

It saddens me to see such hatred on display between gay men in the MC. I've always found the words "hate" and "gay" to be anithetical. Yet, I have enough experience in life to know that some men thrive on destruction (gay or not) and, as I've said in another post, most people don't change. Once evil, always evil. But I have hope.

What is it about escorting and being in the presence of really hot young men that turns other men into the devil? Do you think this might have something to do with Eve's apple and that fucking serpent? Or do gay men really get the side effects of menstruation after the age of 40, without the blood? Or is it that damn Berdorf-Goodman price-tag on a WalMart body and mind. Another of life's mysteries, I guess.

I view the blatant act of name-calling to be the lowest form of attracting attention to oneself. It's one of the most selfish and uncivilized forms of communication we have.

To be at a party with uncivilized gay men is not fun. It's can also be quite painful. After all, our fight for love, acceptance and respect is difficult enough, but when our fellow brothers can't love and respect themselves and others, our hope diminishes.

I'm writing you to suggest, once again, the institution of a registration fee. When a registrant is required to pay to belong to this very helpful service you provide, he will be most disinclined to be a troll, become a troll, or behave like a troll.

Also, please consider utilizing a stronger moderation process. If you wish to attract the kind of quality-posters this helpful site deserves, blatant name calling must not be permitted. I strongly recommend a policy of one-warning and then banning the username from the board. Many other successful forums utilize this approach.

Finally, I know this might be considered a strong-arm procedure but I would not be opposed to forbidding free email addresses in the registration process. If registration requires a paid-for ISP address, I can almost guarantee a very civilized group of participants and zero trolls. Free email address can be used in user-profiles to protect from spam and privacy issues.

I see no reason why men who are willing to throw away hundreds of dollars on a chance at orgasm and fake love would not be thrilled to pay a nominal fee to support the cause of this site, especially if the quality and discourse of the registrants greatly improves. So what if you lose a few members in the process? Those tart green apples belong in a 400 degree oven anyway. Can you think of a better way to turn them into sweet-as-pie? (Boldface added.)

RockHard, please help me become a better reader of your posts. If not "we who hire" or "all men who hire," to whom does this phrase refer?

Posted

AdamSmith,

Fun cheap shots are fine as long as the negative baggage ain't too heavy. For travelers on a budget, TripAdvisor can be helpful. But you must remember, especially for travel in Europe, the competition among moderately priced boutique hotels is very stiff and not all the negative reviews are from honest sources. A smart traveler will rely on numerous sources before making a good, cost-saving decision.

I'm not sure what to say about someone who digs up my old posts other than thanks for the flashback. The statement, "men who are willing..." simply states man in plural form. It assumes there's more than one man, on the MC (implied), who fits the bill but it does not assume that all men do. (Let's not forget, I stand among the MC men.) If I wanted to include all the men on the MC, the statement would need to read as follows:

"Since every man on the MC, including me, is willing to throw away hundreds of dollars on a chance at orgasm and fake love, I see no reason..."

I do my best to choose my words and intended meanings with care and this habit comes from years and years of negotiating with tigers and thieves. (Welcome to show business.) However, I don't always hit the mark and I have no difficulty admitting when I don't. I'm far from perfect.

Before some ignorant jerk pounces at the opportunity to call me a hypocrite, let me point to this quote of mine:

"I view the blatant act of name-calling to be the lowest form of attracting attention to oneself. It's one of the most selfish and uncivilized forms of communication we have."

The key word here is "blatant," intended to mean "obviously offensive, inappropriately timed." I stand by this statement with an important caveat: I will not hesitate to call someone a stupid idiot, bullshit-yapping, lying-cunt-secreting asshole, but I must be provoked before I do. I'm nobody's patsy and I have no problem fighting back.

I wish more gay men could be happy. :-)

RE: Is MER already dead? What's that smell?

Speaking of stench:

(All the quotes in red are from Totally Oz.)

"I just read the posting here about DaddysReviews. I also read the message center over there. All I will say is that I much prefer someone rational like Rico over Rockhard any day of the week."

Well, gentlemen, there you have it. The all powerful and benevolent has spoken loud and clear. I never thought I'd see the day when the word "rational" and "Rico" would appear in the same sentence. Just when I thought Oz knew when to keep his mouth shut and avoid saying anything SO STUPID.

"With his last post, Rock really does tell a great deal about himself in the post..."

Who post? Or should I ask Hoo post? What post? How many posts are you referencing here, Oz? What big secret did I reveal?

"...and it is really nice to see an old friend back in true form. For someone who only joined the site after Hoo’s death, he sure knows a lot about the site and the personalities there beforehand. Am I the only one that thinks it is odd that he reappeared just as Daddy and Deej got the site together?"

Gentlemen, here we go again with conspiracy theories, and this one FROM THE OWNER OF MER. (Aren't businessmen supposed to be professionals?) I'm an "old friend" who mysteriously "reappeared?" Go ahead, girls, just call me Jeannie. (I do love over-active gay imaginations.) At least Daddy has the good sense and professionalism to NOT engage in such foolhardiness. Shame on Oz.

I refuse to repeat the truth one more time. My entrance on the MC is well documented and we have Benjamin Nicholas (and all that ruckus) to thank for it. Even if I were to present proof of my truth, the cynics and conspiracy theorists will NEVER be satisfied. That's how they function. That is their game.

"he sure knows a lot about the site and the personalities there beforehand"

That's funny, because I think I know nothing or, at least, very little. Yes, I do know how to read and I have cursory knowledge from the ramblings I've read, but that's it. I hate to disappoint dear, old Oz but his conspiracy theories are dead wrong (even though I suspect they give him some comfort).

"I actually was not going to comment on the site other than to say that I wish them all well. However, when I read that they were actually going to use the reviews predating Hoo’s death, I decided against it. I assume this would only happen if they knew the estate would not get into a very costly battle with the estate property. I know it is not that they have permission from the estate, so I hope that they do not use that material. Like Daddy, I too have all those reviews and if it is public information for others outside the estate to use then perhaps there is a place for the archives here as well."

Note sentence three, first two words: "I assume." Evidence of a smart businessman? I hope Oz' lawyer is smarter. Cause "I assume" won't hold up in court.

"Lastly, Rockhard keeps bringing up that I made public information about the estate."

You see how important words can be, fellas? "I made public information about the estate" is NOT the same as "discussing estate matters publicly," which is the appropriate way to describe what I've been saying. Even the all-powerful and benevolent Oz manages to twist words and give them new meaning to suit his agenda. How refreshing.

In the very paragraph quoted above, Oz is guilty. A true friend WOULD NEVER discuss or contemplate (private) estate matters openly in the public domain, no matter how well the information serves his cause (or business interests).

"What a joke this is."

It seems very clear to me, you're the joke, pal.

"If you honestly thought you would steal the site and not get called out on it, you were wrong."

Who the hell is "you?" I haven't stolen anything. Or is this your conspiracy trick?

"If things had ever been on the up and up, I would have kept my mouth shut."

I think you meant to say, if Hooboy would have been a true friend and you didn't plan on creating a competitive enterprise, you might have spared Daddy and the estate from your tainted gossip cackle.

"I refused to keep quiet and not share information about people plundering my friends intellectual property."

Ah, I see. Hooboy left YOU in charge, named you as THE GREAT PROTECTOR in the will that does not exist. Shame on you, Oz. And shame on your public "plunder" characterization. Too bad we can only wonder what Hooboy thinks of his dear friend's effort to protect and steal the bounty.

"I will never keep silent about it."

Well, girls, she's invested now. How could she possibly shut up when it's the only mantra she's got.

"Rock is just lucky I did not share all I know about the situation and the BS behind the scenes."

Oh my gosh! You mean there's more? (as I hear the sound of Rico's pussy lips smacking)

"The only things I ever spoke about publicly needed to be said."

I know, dear. For the good of mankind. To protect your dearest, deadest friend. Let's not forget that 75K investment, either. Somebody better protect that, right? Nice to see you got the usage of "public" right on this one.

"Many things I know that happened with the estate and Daddy I did not reveal."

You are a saint, dear. We can't thank you enough for your restraint.

"I will only say that even I (who many see as evil incarnate) was disgusted by the madness of the grave robbers."

Is that a shovel I see in your hands, Oz? Tell me, where did all this dirt come from?

Smarter, more professional businessmen would have kept their mouth shut.

Thank you for reading, everyone. :-)

RE: Is MER already dead? What's that smell?

More stank from the land of Oz:

"PS. My favorite Rockhard quote ever is:

"Smarter, more professional businessmen would have kept their mouth shut."

LOL Thanks Rock. The advice from a very successful businessman like yourself is much appreciated.

Be careful not to laugh too hard, dear. He who laughs last gets the biggest tickle.

Maybe my quote should have read (for those who never got beyond the 3rd grade), "Smarter, more professional businessmen in the "who owns HooBoy" game would have kept their mouth shut." I don't have contempt for my readers, therefore, I assume everyone is intelligent enough to know that this is what I meant. Frankly, it's my clever way of complimenting Daddy on his professional restraint without showing (too) obvious bias.

Again, for the record, I did not know HooBoy, I do not know Daddy, I do not know deej, and I don't know Totally Oz. Furthermore, I don't care about the Hooboy estate business and all the bullshit gossip mongers.

Also, I think cursory reading of my posts since I joined will reveal the simple truth: I've been quite critical of DCForum software, Hooboy's ugly site design, Daddy's public breakdowns, the lack of expert moderation, and deej's sour personality and utter lack of customer-service skills. Do I really sound like someone's old friend? I don't think so.

And lastly:

MER's Meta Description and Meta Keywords are full of "male4male escort review" references. Here they are:

Meta Description: MaleEscortReview.com is the most comprehensive-in-scope MALE 4 MALE escort review site for gay escorts on the web.

Meta Keywords: male escort review, male escort, gay escort, gay male escort, male review, rentboy, gay review, gay escort review, male4male, male4male escort, gay male4male, twink escort, muscle escort, gay, male escorts, escorts, escorting, reviews, m4m reviews, homose

Of course, nobody owns metadata words, but if anyone thinks that Oz isn't playing a serious, disingenuous game to promote and protect his new business interest (MER), I've got a bridge named Brooklyn for sale.

One assumption I do have: Hooboy probably knew this drama would take place with no will and I'll bet he's enjoying the show.

RE: Is MER already dead? What's that smell?

I am coming from a different angle than RockHard on this: I enjoy MER very much and believe that competion is a good thing. Hey, I also get to read more escorts reviews.

However, I agree with RockHard's other comments about Totally Oz's post.

To paraphase Totally Oz, he is saying:

I know these awful things about certain people. I cannot tell you what I know. If I could tell you, you would be shocked and outraged. You cannot image what terrible things those grave robbers have done. But I can't tell you.

That is irresponsible, especially coming from the co owner of the site.

I have read enough of Totally Oz's comments to know that he would be outraged if Daddy posted anything even remotely similar on this site

about him.

RockHard, thank you for taking the trouble to explain.

Based on your earlier reaction, I was looking forward to (as the man said) some difference that would make a difference.

Thanks for setting me straight!

Just don't be a stranger!

PS: I'm still working on that "abdominal or inguinal" thing. Even if I find something that rhymes with "inguinal", it's not going to be very pretty. ;-)

I was intimidated by the high bar you set. :-)

After yours, a few rounds of ...He stuffed his ass / With broken glass / And circumcised the skipper (variant vicar) just won't cut it any more.

LOL.

"Very good, Rock! Took me a while to realize how droll this is."

I always hope someone will notice when my humor gets waggish. If it weren't for private email, my writing here would be in vain.

Thanks, again, to the gentlemen who write me privately to express their enjoyment (and other whitticisms), especially the escorts. They all know who they are. I truly adore smart guys and I love a great escort. :-)

RE: In conclusion...

Dear gentlemen readers,

I doubt this will be my last word on this subject. Much depends on what bullshit others proffer. Time and behavior will tell.

Here are some closing thoughts (for this thread):

Contrary to some lively language (I do enjoy the opportunity to cuss like a truck driver. Thank you, Daddy, for your tolerance.), my comments on this thread are not "bitter" and do not come from a bitter place. I'm truly sweet as Dutch Apple Pie, at least, that's what the escorts tell me. No foreign object has "crawled up my ass." I am not "at war" with anyone and I do not view acute observation and/or editorial opinion as a "hatchet" in need of burying.

Daddy, actually, may be wondering who I am and why I chose to speak out but, I have no clue what he thinks of my enumerations. So far, he hasn't written me with any comment and I don't seek his favor, approval or acknowledgment. I suspect he's busy doing what he enjoys most. Same here.

I repeat, I don't own any escort-review sites and I have no financial stake in any. I have no hidden agenda other than to be the smartest, best-informed escort-purchaser I can be. I am no different from most readers, I'm an outsider looking in.

As imperfect as it was, Hooboy's site was a terrific, cutting-edge creation, way ahead of its time, and a truly unique enterprise that, I suspect, benefitted greatly from the work of Daddy (not Oz) for many years. It was the first of its kind and a site many of us used and loved with enthusiastic appreciation.

We can never know the full scope of any employee/boss relationship (I nurture many and I know what I'm talking about). Pride, derived from hard work, passion, friendship, creativity, commonalities, even compensation, offers only a partial story. Thoughtful, heartfelt expressions are often shared that no one else can know. And when someone dies, especially if there is no written document, many words, promises, and shared dreams are lost forever.

I don't know the truth behind Hooboy's story and my prudent nature won't permit me to trust anyone's version. To really speak honestly about any person's truth, one has to live the man's entire life experience and doing so requires stepping into his shoes. It simply can't be done. The only person who knows Daddy's truth is Daddy.

It's obvious to me (and, I suspect, most readers) Daddy put in his time, paid his dues, and deserves a chance to make Hooboy's vision his own. It seems fair, right, and conclusive that he should have the chance to carry that unique torch forward—possibly make the site better, make his own mark, and succeed or fail on his own merit. Everyone else is either a bullshitting thief, a copycat, a second-tier operation, an opportunist: probably all of the above.

Deej is often blamed for the so-called "meltdown," a histrionic blip whose sordid, boring details escape me. However, as sour as his online personality can be, deej reminds me of my Gemini father; Jeckle one day, Hyde the next. Yet, TotallyHarmless (try that for new username, deej). No matter how gruff he can be, deej can't hold a candle to some of the obnoxious posters whose member names I gathered for my "Do Not Respond" list soon after I joined the MC. I have little doubt that those well-known trouble-makers fueled whatever drama occurred and forced Daddy's hand to stop, take a breather, and assess the TOS issues of gay-adult moderation.

For me, it's no small pleasure that most of these hateful cunts are gone and Daddy is largely responsible for the clean up. I am truly grateful. The entry door here has been cleared for more thoughtful, caring gentlemen to join without fear of being immediately annihilated. Not every gay man who hires escorts is a self-hating cunt or TakeTwat-sociopath, and clearing the door here was a necessary step towards inspiring happier men, with more substance and manners, to join the discourse. This is the primary reason why I remain a member here. I see there's hope with Daddy and I don't trust a fantasy-maker like Oz.

Some of these veteran jerks were banned and others left in protest. Most of them have reappeared at MER (or elsewhere) while their childish grudge festers. Their goal is to continually blame Daddy for their obstinate, assinine behavior which got them exiled from this very special place.

I have no love for opportunists who try to hornswoggle readers with lies, hearsay, rumors, self-flattery, gossip and distortions, mostly to belittle Daddy and his history here. The hateful din of the disgruntled has taken their show elsewhere. And no matter how they fluff it up and self-congratulate, the smarter gay men see through their bullshit.

Unless you are a gossip columnist, the act of promoting bullshit to procure any form of profit assumes readers are stupid and eager to be duped. Taken by itself, such behavior is manipulating, condescending and insulting. Combine this behavior with an attention-getting business agenda and you will see the most offensive kind of cynicism in the marketplace today. Oftentimes, the man who speaks the loudest, in his own defense, is the most transparent: the biggest bullshitter.

Make no mistake, the world of porn is far from altruistic and escorting is a default subsidiary of that notorious world. An ethical utopia of conscience-driven men DOES NOT EXIST in porn. MER member, marcanthony, (and others) may long for "accuracy, impartiality, and integrity" but he is either naive, or a fool, to expect it in this illegal arena. In this shady, unregulated circus, you rarely get the "act" you were promised. We're lucky if we can find someone who cares about the service he provides and/or the people he serves, or better yet, cares about himself.

Every once in awhile, against so many odds, we get lucky and encounter an escort who loves bringing joy to another man. We cherish him for as long as we can because we know such gifts aren't easy to find. It is my opinion, based on my private correspondence with Daddy, that he is a man who truly understands the original Hooboy philosophy and has the tools and desire to up the ante. I have strong reason to believe that Hooboy knew Daddy's strengths and took full advantage of Daddy and his services through the years.

My experience executing estates is deeply personal. I am the sole survivor of the circle of friends I grew up with in the early 80's. They all died of AIDS and several had no wills, accompanied by estranged families. I've witnessed and cajoled my way through more dysfunctional estate drama, over who gets the last dollar bill, than I ever wish to experience again. In every situation I endured, the bottom line was quite evident: truth is elusive.

Readers are free to make their own choices and, as I've said, I fully support competition. It's good for the consumer. Just don't try to play me for a fool or you might irk me to start typing.

Happy reviewing, everyone, and thank you for reading my posts! :-)
