Gentlemen, I need a vacation. I've spent the better part of my life climbing the corporate ladder and now I must schedule some relaxation time. I've never been on a cruise, and I love beaches. Can anyone suggest a great gay vacation, cruises? gay resorts? I'm open to any ideas. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I have lots of ideas, but be more specific in what you are looking for....email me if you want...I am an expert of not working and travelling, ask anyone here that knows or has met me.

Are you cruising ?

Hey OralBtm4Top,

You may check those 2 companies offering gay vacations and gay cruises.

There are quite different and cater to different type of people (in my opinion). Private me and I will explain. Be sure that this is what you really want, because I've seen people leaving the ship on the third day. If possible bring along a friend - it's much better to have company. Go for it and you'll have a great time. And remember that the cruise is what YOU will make out of it.

Also: Dance like nobody's watching. Live each day like it's your last. And never put all your eggs in one basket (unless you're wearing spandex). :p

One of the best cruise bargins you can get is to book a relocation cruise. (I don't know of any that are specifically for gays but they are a great bargin.)

A relocation cruise is one where you catch the ship as it leaves one homeport and relocates to it's new homeport. For example, at the end of the travel season the cruise ships relocate from Alaska (can't do an Alaskan cruise in the winter) to Florida (their homeport during the winter).

Cabins are much more reasonable and are deeply discounted to attract people. In addition, cruises are usually longer (2-3 weeks) since travel normally involves going through the Panama Canal.

A good travel agent can assist you in getting the best bang for your buck. Heaven only knows there are probably gay travel agents (or gay-friendly agents) in your area.

I will echo Rob's reputation. If you want to go anywhere in the world where fun is to be had and you want to spend a lot of time and not have to work, Rob is your guy. He is also a fun guy to have around if you keep him away from his water bottle, so you might want to take him along as a guide. heheh

Did I get that right Rob?

Why not just stay at a hotel on the ocean in Malibu and drive thirty minutes to West Hollywood. Much more flexible and the ocean comes right up to hotels along the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Frankly, I hate those giant freaking boats that clog up the habors in the islands, where you get to "see" St. Thomas or Grand Cayman for four or five hours!

For a real change of scene, there's always Brazil! Visit us at http://www.GayTravelBrazil.com for lots of ideas. There's everything from metropolitan sleaze to the world's most famous beaches, from sleek urban hotels to luxurious resorts and inns in tropical paradises. Cruise the Amazon (in more ways than one) or step back in time in one of the beautiful baroque colonial mining towns up in the mountains. Everywhere you'll find gorgeous scenery, friendly people and the handsomest men on earth! Come on down! :7

I recommend finding a place that really flips your fantasy Island switch and then look in te Damon Guide for the gay venues in the area. The cruises aer nice but can be limiting. Nice to have the freedom to "roam" where you want to. Lots of Havienda villages and things in Mexico. They feed you and take total care of you, (and your boi???).

My favorite beaches and water is in Tahiti... Bora Bora, Mo'orrea, Roratunga... great diving and sunning. The best lamb and beef in the world coming from New Zealand. Very freindly people! Clean and safe! Everything is duty free since it's all considered art work!
